@Janet Marquez I mean, 'good' is subjective. I faint in any sort of heat and live in a place where I hike in negative digits and love it. I have my AC in my window half way through fall LOL. I'm a polar bear. So really I think you and everyone is taking things wayyyy too personal. What was meant to be a joke has turned into drama. But from someone who enjoys cold freezing weather (I mean--you can always put more on but you can't strip your skin off and survive ;P) I would consider many of hte comments as teasing because many people enjoy cold climates and so 65 (or whatever it was) realistically is swimsuit weather for other folk. I spent 23 years in hot weather, and 10 years in negative digits and prefer the latter because my body can actually function. I had no life in hot weather as all I did was stay in an AC all year long. Now I can snow shoe hike and snow board, and skii and ice skate! it's awesome :) You just prefer warm weather. *shrugs*

My suggestions is if you can, job shadow a nurse for a few days, that would be great exposure into what a nurse does, and if you want to get some work experience look into getting a Medical Assistant License or a Certified Nursing Assistant License, they are a little similar but MA has more training compared to getting a CNA license. There seems to be more jobs in the hospital for MA's compared to CNA's, just a fyi. Good luck if you go that route! I'm a CNA doing my pre-reqs for a nursing program.
@JessicaMary07025 жыл бұрын
Being a nurse is awful. Job shadowing does not give the real experience at all.
@discogoth5 жыл бұрын
The best way to decide if you want to be a nurse is to be a CNA first, for at least a couple of years. Being a CNA was great for me because it showed me just how much I absolutely do not want to be a nurse. Meanwhile, it showed my best friend that it truly is her calling. Being a nurse is just being a CNA with extra responsibilities and more urgent responsibilities, like administering medication or IVs and the millions of other tasks they have on top of the direct care responsibilities that CNAs have. This is especially true in nursing home settings where the staffing is typically critically low and everyone is doing the jobs of multiple people. So if you don't like being a CNA, do not be a nurse. And if you love it and feel like you could do it for 50+ hours a week for the rest of your life, then please do it! We need more great nurses!

Funny thing is that I'm Asian and I wanted to become a doctor but my parents opposed of that idea due to our financial situation later on supported me because it's really what I wanted.

So weird that pediatrics is up to the age of 21 when you become a legal adult at 18. I would feel so out of place, as a 20-year-old, being put into the pediatrics ward.

Just want to say thank you, for helping every sick or injury. Once, I am older I want to be Anesthesiologist, because there is national shortage on them, and also I want to make sure people are comfortable and safe during surgery. Again, thank you for helping everyone out, along with everyone else. ❤️
