A very nice chess set. I was thinking about getting the American Staunton chess pieces and a box from RCM. The golden rosewood and boxwood variant. They look quite ornate and beautifully crafted.

In fact, the RCM copy of the Reyjavik is very inaccurate and basic compared to the original made by Jaques of London.

Thanks for your opinion. Can you share the source where I can original pieces? I see this set as pretty well balanced in the shape and size, especially the knight, bishop, rook ratio which I always pay attention to. Feel free to share some links for the originals, Cheers!

@@RandomChessTalk if you google ‘ the chess set used in Fischer-Spassky 1972 match’ you can see the original Jaques set. The RCM copy is not made correctly because they have copied from other Indian chess makers who also got it wrong. The knights of RCM copy are very basic and too simole and crude as are the other pieces compared to the original Jaques set.
