@@MonsieurGuy build quality overall is very good. the gaps on exterior are fantastic. there is no problem with cheap plastics or other things hater pointed out in videos before. i am a car guy and extremely picky when it comes to this stuff. i let a shop install TPU foil all over the outside to protect the very clean paintjob. interior is excellent, the nappa leather and stitching is high quality and notning is rattleling. the sound system is just epic! first car in my life i felt like i dont need add speaker/sub or amplifier myself which i always did on all my cars before. proper dolby atmos. display is super resonsive and fast. you can feel the nvidia chip inside the car. company leader i know bought the same car with 20" wheels and the michelin pilot sports which i have driven alot before i got mine. ride quality is great. grip is far beyond anything i had before. range with these super sticky tires is a bit lower which is why i choosen 19" wheels and michelin e-primacy on mine combined with the aero rims. grip is still amazing but i get better range on them, the ride quality is better and more soft while noise on highway is lower too. the 20" still feels quiet but they are a bit harder when you drive on bumpy streets. in the rainy season we get deep potholes here sometimes and thats one of the reasons i choose 19" too. i bend several rims on my BYD which was 22" that time. i swapped to 20" after some years and they dont bend anymore when you accidently hit one of these holes. yeah overall i am happy with 19" rims and tires so far. i can drive 160km/h and have a conversation in a very calm tone because its so silent inside. almost unreal feeling. the active noise canceling does the rest to keep things quiet. i thought this would be much worse before. the adaptive suspension does stiffen up the car when you drive in sport mode. i made my own mode with suspension at the lowest level and most soft, rear spoiler tucked in and the softest throttle response. that gives me great range. i cannot say anough good things about this car.

We have Chinese EVs and ICEs on our side of the border, here in Mexico. We've had them for around 5 years now. The main issue we've seen with those is parts availability and reliability in electronics and some steel parts such as control arms or subframe welds coming off. The main deterrent is the lack of parts availability. Minor fender benders will have you with no ride for months. Everything is on backorder from China. Folks will rather order parts from AliExpress than wait for the insurance to fulfill and repair. Very cool and pretty cars. Just not there yet in terms of logistics and quality.

China is an industrialized country. China is not incapable of producing high-quality products, but some countries have lower incomes and unscrupulous businesses offer extremely low prices to Chinese manufacturers in order to earn higher profits. They even purchase scrap products from China and sell them to their countries, including Africa. In fact, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Apple phones, including computers, are mostly produced in China. Few people complain about the poor quality of Apple phones. So there are significant differences in the world, including many brands from South Korea, Japan, and the United States, whose production locations are actually in China.😂

I asked them about the reliability and most of them said they didn't have many issues (at least not more than you'd normally have with a vehicle). Then I asked them about the price. 140,000 yuan. That's around $19k for a quality midsize EV sedan with tons of standard features. He asked me how much EVs costed in the US, and I said you'd be looking at around $40k starting for a Model 3 and he said, "how could anyone afford to drive in America?" Yea, I think it's probably like Tesla's initial build quality. They'll figure out the hardware before long (I hope)
@chjin17962 күн бұрын
If you take an unmodified Tesla to a track, its brakes will wear out faster. Remember this is a family car. You should at least modify the brakes to be more suitable for track conditions before going off to the track. Home brakes cannot withstand the high temperatures of track conditions.

After reading the comment section, I also envy you for using your own local cars. Xiaomi is the king of cost performance in China, and the tax on imported cars in China is very high.

This car seems like a great option but something doesn't sit right with me when all the KZbinrs are all praise for this. Zero criticism makes it feel like sponsored content. As good as this car may be it can't be perfect.
@acde93559 сағат бұрын
When climbing from 20% to 80%, it takes a long while for people to realise that they are not yet at the top. There are some issues with this car for sure, but the reviewer, as an American, was evidently shocked by what he saw. However, being far from perfect is not contradicted by being better than most rivals.
@alburaq32909 сағат бұрын
@acde9355 Makes sense. I guess Americans are finally starting to come to terms with the fact that Chinese EVs are world class now and provide great value.

The Model Y ranked first among BEV models in China with wholesale sales of 298,384 units in January-July 2024, with the BYD Seagull coming in second with 227,2934 units. The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car in the world in 2023, selling 1.22 million units. Nobody wants just an EV, they want a Tesla.

My 2023 Kia EV 6 had been recalled 4 times. And I talked with a woman at the dealership, who drives a Kia Telluride, and her car has been recalled 5 times. This car is a much much better choice than all EVs here in the California. Also the Kia EV6 mileage is so disappointing in the winter.

Paging "Community Notes" . . . namely, NO, very few typical adjustments on a Tesla go exclusively through the display. A real review would credit the thumb wheels and voice control.

Imagine this is their first car ever and puts to shame car companies that have been doing it for decades and at such a competitive price. New leaders in auto are coming fast. If I was a legacy automaker , I would not be able to sleep at night cuz these new companies are eating my lunch.
@Aggie4life77Күн бұрын
If they could nail the price in the US, it would sell well. It does copy the looks of the Taycan with a 720s front lol! It would have be around that 40k-45k range to do well. You can’t bring it here and try to charge 80k! They would sell some, but people will just get a used Taycan, Lucid or Plaid!
