I was not a Miley fan until I heard her sing some Soundgarden tunes at that Cornell tribute. That got me hooked. All the covers she does I think it is great. Wow. I'm impressed that Miley is familiar with Cocteau Twins and even more impressed that she had the courage to cover one of their songs. She did an admirable job with the chorus, which makes me wish she did a proper cover. More artists should cover the great and underrated Cocteau Twins, but it's understandable that very few singers want to attempt to cover the angelic voice of Elizabeth Fraser and her often unintelligible lyrics. You cannot possibly know how many people are listening to the Cocteau Twins. They are not played on the radio much but it doesn't mean you can't listen to them. It's hard to cover them as the voice is an integral instrument in the music and lyrics often indiscernible. She just debases the whole ethereal quality of the song and her bombast is the antithesis of the other worldliness of the Cocteau Twins' delivery. A bawdy barmaid's voice does not do this song justice.
