I did 10 rounds in 40 minutes but I have to tell you, this is the hardest shit I've ever done and I absolutely love it! I do classic gym workouts 3 times a week plus some cardio but damn, this is a whole new dimension of physical activity... Thanks for the great workouts Wolf! Salute!

Killer workout for a newbie. Did 3 full rounds, pull-ups and chinups wouldn't let me progress further. Not a great result, but definitely highlights what I need to focus on. Looking forward to consistent hard work and reaching 5 rounds!

@chrispauls67593 жыл бұрын
@@paquito4147 I would say that Iron Wolf’s routines give you a solid athletic physique. They are not meant to be bodybuilding routines, so they aren’t going to “build” muscle like that. They are awesome for functional fitness and strength and are my go-to style of routines. IW strikes a nice balance between the psychotic tempo of a CrossFit workout and a “traditional” strength workout. Hope that helps.

Beginner here, haven't worked out in a year so a lot of my strength is gone but my base level isn't too bad, can do 20-30 push ups in a row, high volume of bodyweight squats in a row (like 100+ if I pushed myself), but my pull ups are bad and my cardio is worse. I've been meaning to steer away from the typical gym routine and try out calisthenics more, I used to do DB & BW HIIT workouts 3 times a week (the chris heria ones) and cardio/abs in between during the pandemic and got pretty lean and gained a bit of muscle size but definitely a lot of strength and muscle endurance. I could use some opinions on my idea of getting back into it. I was thinking of doing this workout with a little modifications (5 pull ups, 10 dips, 5 chin ups, 10 diamond push ups, 10-15 squat lung combos) 3 times a week aiming for 3-5 rounds to start with(depending on how I do my first time, then adjust and progress from there). In between I want to do jump rope cardio and abs. For the pull ups and chin ups, I was thinking of doing them assisted with a resistance band to get my joints use the the movement and not get overworked by the weight of my body. My goal is boy recomp and to develop my strength with the fundamental movements for calisthenics so that I can progress to more over movements like muscle ups, planches, and other more difficult variations of the fundamentals. What do you guys think?

Tried this for the first time today. I think I managed 4 rounds before my chest and shoulders were too fatigued. Need to work on more pushups I guess. I liked the hand-release ones, they feel like they give you more chest activation.

Marcelo Paiva don’t do it everyday, if you’re already fit and strong then possibly every other day with a deload week every so often. You can trim the reps or rounds down if you’re not already at this level and work up to it but definitely wouldn’t do it everyday bro. Tendinitis is just waiting to happen
@marcelopaiva82424 жыл бұрын
@@bobshorty2290 thanks for the advice. I'm fit enough to pass the army pt test but I've been struggling for a long time with improving my score bc I would rest too much during my workouts which didn't give me any results and was just a waste of time. This kind of workout (no rest) is finally making me improve so I'll stick to it and see what happens.

If we are unable to do the 5 beginner cycles, would it be better to do less cycles or less reps per cycle until you build up to it?
@nognog71673 жыл бұрын
probably just slightly lower the reps on whatever movement is limiting you from completing it while still keeping the reps high enough to be challenging.

Hey bro. Try 3 times a week to start off and after a couple weeks you may be able to do it every second day. He lays out the beginner, intermediate and advanced amount of rounds. If you are upping the rounds you could probably use 1 extra recovery day to recover from the new stimulus. Hope this helps a bit
