dwarves arent better with their eternal dawi tide and unbreakableness in higher difficulties. i would rather fight any evil faction and even the empire than the dwarves in campaign

@@thegreathornedrat1219 you say as if mos faction doesn't gain more from leadership, when you make them nearly completely unbreakable then guess what happens when you add leadership to them (like most of there lord effects) it's redundant, and that's before the magic disparity, which alone makes the fight against dwarfs easy, the most it can be is tedious, while the skaven have basic infantry you can't run down, weapons teams that are immune to everything except ranged infantry because of its super high damage, ambushes, and summons out the ass, as well as the only lore of magic the AI uses well

@@thegreathornedrat1219 Dwarfs get stomped by Greenskins in all of my recent campaigns, and I've never had difficulty dealing with Dwarfen 'doomstacks' (unless I'm playing as Bretonnia).

I have a confession to make - I was cheering for the dawi to win. No other faction, aside from the beastmen, has been as screwed over by CA's blatant favouring the skaven, what with the dawi blasting charges, melee defence and even their unit costs nerfed, whilst the skaven get all their over-the-top toys and death-ninjas, with no-real balancing.

as you should, skaven are my least favorite faction in the game, precisely because of how overhyped and annoying thy are to fight, i don't enjoy playing as them because there stuff is either dirt cheap, or way to effective, with them both being very efficient, skaven will be balanced when they add in a bonus vs skaven trait for EVERY single skaven unit

Dwarfs need some loving for this matchup. Even when the Skaven didn’t bring a meta build and made mistakes, they still nearly won. This 90/10 favors Skaven in my opinion. Dwarfs vs Beastmen DLC to help these factions out? I’m all for it.

CA can only make one rework per patch so they can't do Beastmen and dwarfs together. Personally, I think it would be perfect to get Beastmen vs TWW2 faction as next DLC and Dwarfs vs Chaos Dwarfs in TWW3. Don't forget that, the more we wait for Dwarfs rework, the better it'll be

If you had been just a little more conservative with Ikit at the start and not taken so much damage, I think you would have won pretty easily. The morale was so strong at the end that if you had your Lord, they would have been able to take down Ungrim (not to mention that Ikit on the Doom Wheel would be able to rear charge him). Was still a nail-biter in the end and really fun to watch.

i feel like this has only gotten a lot worse since the last update but why the hell do artillery/warplocks/the sisters/other ranged units always target the left side of units? many of those ranged units become so much more ineffective than they should be because of that dumb targeting system... and this is not even a new problem, it has been around at least since shogun 2, are they ever going to fix that?

likely never going to get fixed, hope for wh3 but im not keeping much faith in that either setting up a perfect irondrake shooting gallery and they decide to only blast 5 models on the tip of the formation is such a heartbreak to watch

Doomwheels feel a little bit too lightweight with the new mass changes. I have trouble running through one line of infantry with them, let alone more bodies. Combined with their squishiness, they kinda suck now :(

is it just me or do battles in warhammer very rarely have solid infantry lines that actually...hold the line? I mean campaign is one thing but it seems like multiplayer always devolves into a mess haha, maybe that's just how it looks I dunno, but it looks super confusing and disorderly imo

I think it's two things. One, multiplayer is always a bit chaotic, because you are playing two humans who can see the whole battlefield and have instant control. In real life, lines and formations were needed because you couldn't see and communicate to the whole battlefield, so structure was needed. The other thing is the addition of Magic and Monsters. If you have your army sitting in one place, they are going to be blown up. We can see this evolution in real life as artillery, tanks, and air support came to prominence, and formations and battle lines went away.

it's because AOE damage is so plentiful and cheap, not to mention how AP and armor works, ironbreakers will take an almost exactly same amount of damage from any AP attack as dwarf warriors, while if it's a ranged attack, GOBLIN shields will make them take about 25% less damage then the Iron-breakers that cost like 8 times them

This really shows how busted this matchup truly is. Indy, you fucked up massively, lost so many of your win condition units so quickly, and still very nearly won because damn near your entire army hard counters the dwarves? Lose 5 win conditions? Not to worry you’ve got 7.

I mean yeah, as I made very clear the start was really bad, played poorly in the first 1/3rd of the match, played reasonably well after that which is partly why the gap closed. Lost Ikit very quickly, and the Dwarf thing Menace without doing much with it. Thats not "so many", thats two. Which is hard, but not impossible to come back from. After that, isolated Ungrim and the Dragonback slayers, dodged a lot of bombs, got a great engagement on the gyrobomber, and chased his entire Ranger line off the map. Not because of some super OP Skaven hard counter to Dwarfs, but because of decent positioning and awareness. --Its definitely a difficult matchup for Dwarfs between equally skilled opponents. But this comment is kind of a hyperbolic analysis of what happened. The only thing Jezzails countered this game was Gyros, and there were 5 of them to two Jezzails. Dwarfs had a mobility advantage with the Gyro core, superior wave clear, and vastly superior single target dps. They are hardly helpless here. It being a busted matchup at the highest levels of play where people bring super tailored builds and make minimal mistakes, doesnt reflect what its like for the vast majority of players who play MP. People see replays of Aero and KotD and go "oh Skaven are busted", but they're pretty challenging to play at a high level outside a handful of "go afk and win" type builds. Which this build was certainly not. Matchups matter in this game for sure, but they are given too much credit as some forgone conclusion. Little bit annoying to see how often player decisions and micro is completely discounted in favor of saying "X Faction sucks, never win" and stuff like that

Pretty sure u are Troling in this battle bringing Ikkit on doomflayer, honestly ur build was garbage man against the Dwarf man. Where is Plague priest man ? This is the skaven easiest match up man u can do Death runner rush with snitch or Queak head taker. U dont need plague mortar at all cuz the Dwarf magic resist and tendency to bring artilery to snip them out make them pretty bad in this match up. U can also do doomflayer with slaves and clan rats but u will need the Plague priest to summon unit in to his back line a prevent them from focusing down the Flayer. U will win this match up if u brought the even a half decent build against them, the fact that u came that close to winning despite a large part of ur army being meme units that nobody brings in this match up prove my point.
