Here it is, the new project Mini. Found on E-bay but I lost the auction only to later find the higher bidder messed the seller around so it was offered to the next highest bidder...... Me. The Mini is a 1997 Rover Cooper MPI and has been off the road in a garage since 2007! It's what some might call a barn find.
In this update I replace the outer sill on the drivers side and repair the inner sill. I drill out the spot welds and prepare the panels.

Thanks Keith, well said and a good reminder to all involved on the restoration business. My neighbour recently suffered horrific hand an arm injuries from a 125 mm angle grinder kickback, and had an extended time off of work. The use of the "sure cut" type grinding wheel when cutting an aluminium headboard, added to the severity of the injuries. I have also used one of these metal cutting wheels and can confirm they are far more prone to bite into the work and the kick back is severe. I will not use one again. Hats off to you and great work on the mini.

Great to see a mini getting the care or deserves, keeping as many of these little cars on the road should be a priority. I sadly had to sell my mini many years ago, lack of garage space and ability prevent me getting another. But not to worry KZbin provides me with my fix

Did you no discs also have a use by date stamped on the inner metal ring. I said to my self i wonder if you did some thing with the subframe mount then you said it 🤣😂
