You can tell this woman cares about her students more than a assistant principal she did what she felt was right in her heart and we need more people like her

She talked to Ethan. Finally Ethan was seen. After all those years being invisable to the school. Always ignored. Not a problem from 3/4 grade till 10th grade. Always head down, Nobody talking to him. Everybody ignoring him in the hallways and with lunch. And she, this lady, asked, if he was okay. This lady noticed Ethan.

@@dianetessier2138 I am still puzzled by this case. I think, this lady 'snapped' Ethan out of how he walked the hallways. Ethan didn't kill her. He could have. But he didn't. I listened to dr. King. Three parts. He spend 22 hours with Ethan. With defense lawyer, the Dr. had a beautiful talk. With prosecutor, the Dr. got destroyed. Cross again good explanations. It stays so difficult for me, how Ethan was capable. Like this lady said: "I couldn't believe Ethan being the shooter". I didn't agree with the doctor about not having peer pressure. I think Ethan had that. Everybody always happy walking the hallways/lunches, talking/laughing. Ethan was not part of that. He was always alone. Head down. Nobody talking to him, always alone. But Ethan observed. The shooting, made everybody notice Ethan. Made Ethan the centre. Finally attention. And also with all the textmessages to his friend. We don't get to see, the answers of the friend. Were they biding up to eachother? How miserable their lives were? How did the friend react to all the conversations about enjoying torturing the babybirds? Did the friend 'encourage'it? I realise, the friend also probably 15, so no blame, but he should have told his mother. And his mother should have betrayed the trust/friendship, and let the mother of Ethan know all about it and screenshot all the messages through to Jennifer. If Ethan's parents knew in April/May, that Ethan was enjoying torturing babybirds and had thoughts about killing and shooting up the school, Ethan would have never gotten a gun. He would have gotten help. Ethan was not honest to his parents. Did ask for help numerous times, so he said, but never said, because of enjoying killing babybirds or thoughts about wanting to hurt others. Ethan fooled the counselor and also fooled his parents.

If she cared about her students she would have taken the gun from the bologna boy

@@jonahlogan7234 On the stand, you can hear her say: "I couldn't believe it was Ethan". It is shock. And it goes so fast. And she saw another kid bleeding. Focused on that. I don't blame her. I think she 'snapped' Ethan out of his 'videogame', by being friendly/concerned for him. I always wonder with schoolshootings, if it has something to do with, how kids can walk the hallways and always being ignored. Alone. The silent kid. Invisible. Building up. While others have fun. Friends. Being social. Laughing. If Ethan thought: "I am gonna make you all notice me...". But you mean with your comment: more kids were shot after this teacher's encounter with Ethan? I'm not sure, but believe he went to the bathroom and surrendered after this... No more extra kids shot...

This woman probably cared about him more than his own mother did. Watching her hug (presumably) the victims' families is heartwrenching.

I couldn't stop looking at administrators arms and hands shaking involuntarily and I just wanted to reach out and hug her. I will never reach the depth of anguish that the parents feel on losing their children. I know he is ill but I think his parents should have equal responsibility for ignoring the warning signs he sent them and him the help he desperately needed. I remember the anger from the prosecutor when she charged the parents and I hope they are found guilty. That would be justice.

The assistant principal was probably the 1 person he cared about and got emotional because he knew how bad he hurt here. He did not attempt to shoot her which showed she was the only one he respected.

This guilt belongs firstly with parents before Ethan. He begged, he pleaded for helpl If given it would never have resulted in him taking the actions that it did. US parents buying their young kids guns is just idiotic. Time to break that generational cycle and raise your own children in the way that they should be raised.

I have handled guns since I was a child. I was taught proper gun safety and usage. At 51 I have never raised a gun on another human being. Guns don't kill people people kill people. Guns, knives and other things are used as weapons by humans.

Our children come first. If you choose to have a family, the idea doesn't end there. Until they leave your home, raised in the best way you can possibly give them, putting them first, every day they are under your roof, your life is secondary. Leave the drinking, affairs, selfishness until your children are no longer with you, if that is so important to you. Hopefully you will never be in your grandchildrens lives with choices like that. You don't deserve to be...

Their arrangements in the witness box is centuries old it seems. Constantly telling witnesses to speak up, when the chair is so far from the mic is ridiculous.

That annoyed me so much too. I mean some people.are just soft spoken naturally, so you would think they would either raise the mic volumes up a bit or use better mics or have the witnesses sit closer to the mics.
@bambina320
@bambina320 Жыл бұрын
They should have just raised the mic volumes a bit more. Instead of making people speak up multiple times. Not the witnesses fault it all. Some people are just soft spoken so they should just raise the volume of the mics is all and or use better mics.

This woman is an awful witness; trying too hard to not be blamed by acting fake and extremely affected by the event. The school team she led - had developed no drills no estrategies to fight off this type of events. 👎

This woman was selfless, there is a lot of missed opportunities to help this kid from the schools perspectives, but she definitely isn't part of that and risked her life to help. The only way I can see her being at any fault if there was any signs brought to her personality in the years early. However, as someone who worked in the school, the counselors, dean or teachers would have had to made the more of an issue to bring it to the admin level. There are levels of reporting. In my school though we all are on the most important emails.
