1. You only lose if you are forced to draw from a card or draw phase while having 0 cards in the deck. 2. You cannot activate Assault on GHQ unless they have at least 2 cards in their deck. Even with the Toggle to "On", you cannot activate a card before they draw a card for their turn, which put him at 1 card left in the deck. 3. Hiro's Shadow Scout, for example, is different than Assault on GHQ, being that it is a mandatory effect if flipped, so it does not care if your opponent has less then 3 cards.

which is why i run 2 generation shift and a pot of benevolence in my mill deck. generation shift activates worm worm if necessary and hands you another. also gets rid of a face up hiro.

You should replay this deck. Warm worm mills cards straight from deck to grave, they have to draw to deck out.

Shady, you only win, if the opponent can't draw cards. milling cards do not count and they won't lose, cause they won't draw. Milling is not drawing. And "Assault on GHQ" can ONLY be activated, if the enemy has more than 1 card in the deck. Cause that cards specify that you have to send "2" cards from their deck, but you can't cause he had 1.

In the 2nd duel, you cannot activate assault on ghq if your opponent has less than 2 cards in his deck and even if you were able to activate it, you wont be able to win the duel because it "mills" the deck instead of forcing your opponent to draw, so you will still lose die to burning land

You have to play passive with this deck. -ALWAYS MILL YOUR OPPONENT TO ZERO IN YOUR TURN. -Don't flip your Hiro until you have enough cards to mill. -Change Locust and Golem into 2 Kuribos, they literally did nothing in your deck. -Since you have Kuribos you can remove Windstorm to tech 1 Lady Bug for Weevil, Mai, etc. -You can change those Feint Plans into Regretful Rebirths if you want, your preference. (3 GHQs and 3 Regretful Rebirths) I hope you read this and helped make your deck better. :)

Yeah this is correct. Both assault on GHQ and Warm Worm, "send the top cards" to the graveyard, not draw. Also your opponent needs to have at least 2 cards in the deck to be able to activate Assault on GHQ, but not necessary for the effect to resolve, this is why you can activate it when he has 4 cards in the deck, and destroy Warm Worm. And theoretically mill more than he has. But you couldn't when the Weevil only had 1 card left in deck. However, if your opponent only has 2 cards left in the deck, and you flip over a Shadow Scout, it's effect requires the opponent to "draw 3 cards" then you get a deck out victory instantly.

you want to use warm worm first before scout because of two reasons. one you making them draw the cards rather than sending cards in the graveyard which allows them to make plays. 2 ) scout wins the game because they draw out their last card rather then being short over warm worm.

BTW: Warm worm says destroy, it doesn't make them 'draw' cards, the action of drawing is what loses the game. So with Shadow Hiro Scout you would be able to do that (obviously you have to flip it).

Forcing a discard and forcing a draw are two different things. If you make them have a manditory draw through Hiro, then you can force them to lose right there. However, if you force them to discard, they cannot lose on that turn. Also, with Assault on GHQ, you cannot activate it if the opponent has 1 or less cards left in their deck. This is a card ruling specific to Assault on GHQ. The wording on Assault and Warm Worm look similar, but Warm Worm is a mandatory effect whereas you have to activate Assault on GHQ so if the condition can't be met, you can't activate.

Shady, you couldn't use GHQ at the end of your game vs Weevil is because it has to mill exactly two, Your opponent only had one card in deck, so it didn't meet it's activation requirement.

You were right about the first duel, milling out with warm worm won't win you the duel. The opponent will only lose by decking out when he draws.

You can't actually activate optional effects if you cannot fully apply their effects, which is why Assault on GHQ and Cup of Ace won't work with less than two cards in the Deck. The only reason this works with Warm Worm and Hiro's Shadow Scout is because their effects are mandatory, and will have to resolve as much as possible. If they were optional, they'd follow the same rule as the others.

I will note that on GAME #2 the correct play was not to activate e-con tributing Hiro, but to just not flip HIRO and pass turn allowing him to draw leaving 8 in the deck. From here you will wait for his battle phase, and when he attempts to attack with panda flip e-con to switch it to the def position. your turn comes and you flip HIRO he draws to 5 left in deck activate ASSAULT ON GHQ destroy WARM Warm milling the other 5 cards from deck leaving him at 0 cards and pass the turn. Once his turn comes he loses the game from "deck out." #chipper

Shady in the second battle you had the W. You should have used Assault on GHQ on Warm Worm, so he would have 1 card left. End your turn, take 1000 lp damage, he would attack with panda, use E-con on it. Next turn no matter what you do he loses due to deck-out. (14:30)

You can only mill out someone if there card count drops to zero, and can somehow survive that turn. You just have to draw and end your turn and you would win when your opponent goes to draw a card. If they have no cards to draw they deck out and you win at that point. Hope that helps clarify things some.

At 15:10 you could've saved your E-Con to stop Panda from attacking. Ohm wouldn't be able to break through. You didn't have to flip Hiro's yet. You're playing with 21 btw. I know you still won, just an alternate play that could've been done. Also, as others have said, you have to attempt to draw a card that's not there not attempt to mill a card that's not there. With that in mind, save Cups and Hiro's for game, like you began doing when you started winning.

Yes, you can. If you have played yu-gi-oh for long enough you would know that there is a standby phase into the draw phase and if u chain the standby phase you can activate traps ect. Idk if duel links works the same, but that's how the game works. If I miss something, please point it out to me. Would love to learn.

Love mill decks. Still want Shady to use Bakura Tether Of Defeat mill. Use the new Delg Monarch, Warm Worms, Beans Man and Dark Witch. Use E-con, mirror wall and riryoku to help set off Tether. GHQ if they don't attack. And have you tried Gokipon to search Warm Worm yet?

Poor Shady, by the third duel you can just see him dying inside. At least he gets more #chipper later on. I hope they add Wandering Mummy to the game soon. It would work so well with other monsters that can flip back into face-down defense position and The Shallow Grave. I especially like it with Giant Axe Mummy and Des Kangaroo.

Hey Shady, I noticed that you let panda attack you at 11:45 when you could of windstormed. In my opinion, you could've used windstorm, that way when you draw the parasite it doesn't go to your side of the field. But I'm not sure if that mattered to you at the time. just what I would've done.

I feel like Generation Shift would greatly help since it destroys your Worm and searches for another copy of it while milling you opponent. But I would also add a Sphere Kuriboh but I don't have the cards for my ideal build sadly.

You almost had it shady, I think the play was wait for his turn after you windstormed (put hiro in defence) he draws, down to 5 cards, you lose 1000 lifepoints from mask econ sac worm to take panda during his battle phase (2 cards) assault on GHQ any of your three monsters (0 cards) the best he can do is destroy your two defence positioned monsters with his two remaining monsters if he switched all 3 of his to attack mode before the battle phase where you econned the panda. Then he ends his turn you end your turn he tries to draw you win you were just a little too hasty warm worms effect can not cause a deck out, you could consider saving hiro's flip effect as the finisher, and warm worm as the mill/deck destruction engine I don't think the golems fit, you could drop them for more stall like kuriboh or windstorm, I think sunlight is too situational it could be replaced

I used a similiar deck to get to KoG, used a 4 star lady bug instead of the statue though. Against weevil you could have flip hiro then on your turn use econ on hiro and grab his panda then assault on ghq the panda to avoid taking that early damage

I tried a similar deck recently, but since I don't have Duel Standby I went with Tea's Holy Guard and I run Unhappy Girl to lock down the opponent's mat (I don't get dmg by crashing into their monster, which is also good for Warm Worm and getting rid of Shadow Scout I have flipped). It does okay against NPCs but humans will crash into the Girl on their turn even if it stuns their monster so I need more LP. I run two Stray Asmodians (also good DEF) and a Skull Mark Ladyburg and 1 Enchanted Javelin but it's not perfect. Wish I had some Cup of Ace.

You, should watch some other duelists play the deck and just need more experience playing with it. It's such a good deck, you just need to make some minor tweaks and improve your plays. on the second duel can't you just flip over your warm worm and attack into his panda. you'll take 600 damage and be left with another 600, he'll lose his last 3 cards when the worm goes Into the graveyard, and then he loses when he can't draw on his next turn.

The second game against weevil you could have flipped summon warm worm and then attacked the panda to have warm worm destroyed by battled, he had 3 cards left and warm worm would have made him discard those 3. Then, that next turn when he draws, he would have decked out. But theres always a chance of that face down card in their spell/trap zone
