I appreciate you taking the time to share your wealth of knowledge with young and old alike. I am no spring chicken and am getting into this hobby as I retire. Everything I have learned comes from generous folks like you and books, thank you.

It’s great that your passing along your experience and knowledge to those willing to learn. I really appreciate this platform for learning this type of instructional content as well. I probably won’t have the industrial size machines that you have, but some of the information and techniques can be used in the small home shops. Thank you again for sharing your time with us. Have a great day!

Yes, it is really all the same, small machines are harder to make work you have to use as many tricks as possible and invent some of your own. I started out on an Atlas lathe, if you cant make parts on one of those you are not going to be an ace on a Monarch 10ee.

That's a really nice milling machine . And you're doing a fantastic job getting it straightened out . Keep up the good work , we appreciate your wealth of knowledge and dedication.

Very nice video to watch sir. Appreciate the content and you did a fine job on your table! I like your idea as well to remove the sag on the extending head. Your experience shows. Thanks for the effort in your videos!

I was sent some special stones for that from a viewer, I am planning to go back over and try those in a video. This milling machine is proving to be very useful. thanks for watching!

dee dee I don't know how you could possibly lead anyone astray. I'm not a youngster but you are welcome to lead me anywhere knowledge takes me. I am impressed with the way the table has turned out, Thanks for putting the indicator on it .

Somehow old walking dead machinist that went through some kind of ridged prescribed training programs of years gone by think they hold a patent on machine work and training. All the while they can't do any of the work I have done without retraining. I have run into that a lot. What is seen on KZbin does not represent any reality, it is scripted and created by the same racist non machinist that have run the forums for years for profit controlling the narrative with selected better looking all white individuals as internet heroes. Three people have controlled this for more then 20yrs. One shows up here in short pants doing heavily scripted videos that hog out the views from the real talent here and there is lots of it. They know how to manipulate they system, but they failed to bully me. I was trained by Harley Davidon to deal with bullies, You Tube was informed what I am up to. Here is a harsh reality I am fully aware of some proper bow tied machinist may get a watch when they retire. I end up with a garage full of machines, some have a problem right there. So, I pollute young minds and they cant seem to make videos, also they have run out of content.

@@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision Yes sir I agree. I care not a bit for the scripted content. and also can do without the unnecessary on and on talking. I was really looking forward to one creators repair of the 10EE and they talked for damn near an hour about nothing related to the machine at all. AS a result I am missing anything they may create with value. I realize it is hard to come up with new content when so many are just Parroting what some other creator has already done. You sir had me when I first watched the simple removal of the drive rivets on the Axelson lathe. That simple task is of great value to someone who loves restoring the old iron. Thanks for keeping it real.

Turned out nice it seems there, Donnie. I'm doing one of my mills right now as well and so far it's pretty nice. I also found some old ruby stones in my storage from my old shop and they are 12" long so happy, happy 4 me 2.

I was surprised how long this took but there was a lot of deep scratches and places where the table was used to bend over nails and used as an anvil typical of machinery that did not get used much at the Hanford site, they were animals out there.
@ricko51232 жыл бұрын
@@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision that's horrible to treat a machine that way. I'm glad you got it though as I know your restorations are superb, Donnie.

Always enjoy all your videos,I'm working on building my retirement shop,or maybe refining it,have 4 years to get it done,did you paint the coolent part of the mill bed?if so did you use glypal? I had surplus from my racing days and been using it for that purpose. Stay warm.
@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision2 жыл бұрын
The paint is Fuller Obrien Blox Rust primer, It is very good on rough cast iron, I remember Glyptal for castings.

What grit stone are you using??
@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision Жыл бұрын
Those were sent to me by a viewer, they are a standard Norton oil stone duplex with coarse and fine, then the stone was cut in two and the surfaces machine ground. They are called Precision Deburring Stones.
