US carrier groups would never be required to get within range of Chinese missiles. You don't test defensive systems you avoid testing them.

Where are the RIM-7 Sea Sparrow missiles from the US Carrier group?

Those missiles are also being fired, but the editing didn't include the RIM-7. I focused on the SM-3 and the SM-6 so that the video wouldn't get too long.

In my uneducated opinion, it would be a fatal mistake for the Chinese navy to attack the US Navy. Those PLA ships and aircraft are "targets of opportunity" They can't protect their carrier. The skipper of the US carrier probably stood , listened to the show and drank his coffee.
