haha they like to dance :D results make sense, hikoki uses cells with slightly lower IR (25S vs 25R in milwaukee), plus lower resistance in general thanks to 36v system :)

Double the voltage , cut current in half , cut heat generated to 1/4 due to resistance , reason why main electricity grind uses 400kV. Still battery tools that remove material , grinders , routers, what the benefit compared to corded one, some safety feature aside, you need power to chargers and many batteries and the corded versions if Bosch, Makita, or Hilti still work 30 years later. Best part universal motor with brushes can be run from batteries, only thing you need is right voltage .

@@pete_lind universal (or brushed in general) motors are far less efficient and larger for the same power :)

Also notice how nice it is to be able to turn off without taking hand off router with Hikoki

I have both and I prefer the metabo hpt. The ergonomics are better on the metabo for sure.

Would have preferred you to do a worktop joint with 5 passes each. And measure bars that's left and how the user power felt.. i believe the milwaukee is a combi sort of affair. Im all milwaukee but given how long it took them to bring the 1/2 router out i couldn't put it off any longer.and bought hikoki But dont think I'll give the hikoki up given this demo

the handle direction is subjective .for most of what i end up doing with routers the mounts like on the milwaukee are much more comfortable .

your probably right, its often subjective. i have the corded milwaukee 2 hp router, with basically the same bases as the cordless. the milwaukee body grip is awsome, but the plunge base is absolute trash. i would not get the cordless milwaukee over the nicer compact metabo-hpt or upcoming makita.

Was going to get a great deal on the Metabo HPT super duper recip saw till I saw one in person. Its a horse leg. Too big for me. Already have a corded sawzall that is too massive. Love the concept of their tools and the plug in battery though!

The plug in battery is why I bought into the system, but I never bought the adaptor because it is so ridiculously overpriced in Australia. Much better in the USA though.

This was not a router test, but a battery test. Kind of.
