MILWAUKEE & BOSCH Laser Detector Compatibility- Part 2

This video answers your questions between the new Milwaukee Laser Detector and the different Bosch green and red lasers. The Milwaukee lasers I test include the USB Cross-line laser and the M12 Single Plane Laser.
This video makes it clear that a green laser detector doesn't necessarily mean it works with all brands and types. The same goes for red laser detectors.

You're welcome. I haven't come across any other detectors that work with the M12 yet. I'm going to be talking face to face with some Milwaukee product managers and I'll ask them about it and try to let you know.

If you're outside, the laser isn't visible after about 20' in sunlight. The detector can find the line up to 165' outdoors in any level of sunlight.

No, the Milwaukee one works with all of their lasers. It just doesn't work with other brands. The Bosch detector only works with their rotary laser and not any other Bosch cross-line lasers.

You dont want a multi platform detector, unless they actually run the same pulse frequency, lasers being accurate is why we use them, but over distance the red line gets larger, depending on the frequency you can be mislead into a much larger red line despite the manufacturors info. Very hard to beat a dumpy level with a good stick holder operator, and if your real mad keen, the old coloured water in a hose for level is going to keep you out of small claims court when your drainage works. Where a laser has suited me the most has been the 3 axis or even 2 axis, not so much the straight line.
