They got the hint from the Bosch FL12 I bet, I've used those in my garage for years and they are hard to beat and take a 12V swappable battery. For this new light to be an A+ it really needs Qi charging. Charging small things via cable is really archaic in a workplace.

The USB-C port is also found in one or two of of Milwaulkee's headlamps and one or two 4V lights. that use a removeable cell.

I also like the Husky work light - $20 for USB Type C charging, and a nice neutral white with decent CRI. Similar folding/pivoting magnetic clip, too. It's about twice as fat as the Milwaukee, and the LEDs aren't as nice, but hey - it's $20!!

What's the average charge time? How many charge cycles can we expect out of a permanent battery... Same as a phone? The frame should have been abs plastic, once one of those arms gets bent they're not gonna latch correctly, and being aluminum you won't be able to bend them back without cracking... Can you give actual dimensions, Milwaukee says 2" total width (which appears to be wrong), 4"total length(which also appears to be wrong), no mention of thickness. Otherwise looks cool useful...

Dollar for dollar the Klein 56403 is a much better light and it can be used as a power bank for charging aswell. The Klein also has a metal clip/ carabiner not plastic. Best of all it has much longer runtime than the Mil.
