It is good to see a tool review by an average person and see what kind of results to expect for a beginner like me. Sometimes PROS make it look just way too easy😂 great video

dewalt makes a cordless screwgun and router also. dewalts router has a much faster "quick change" system for the bits that doesn't require a wrench or much work just a half turn to lock/unlock

As a drywall guy, I use cordless cutout tools all the time, we have found that removing the depth guide makes it easier to use when rooting out boxes and or windows and door ways. If we can we like using the bigger bit for windows and doorways or arches,etc and the 1/8 bit for boxed and can lights. As with any tool used in drywall, dust is a factor, so it's important to use a compressor to blow out dust that accumulates over time. I use the Milwaukee drywall gun because of the auto lock, it helps save battery life and helps me not to have to pull the trigger constantly like i did with my dewalt cordless gun. You can run the Dewalt gun on lock, but it drains the battery down to fast. I like that the batteries are interchangeable with all other cordless tools Milwaukee puts out. Thanks for the video and i would love to try the cutout tool from Milwaukee(hint,hint) Lol!

@stormbytes
@stormbytes 5 жыл бұрын
Really appreciated this video. I decided to go with a more traditional Rotozip router. With more experience you start to spot the nuances between tool brands and models. Milwaukee is great for the cordless line up but its not my go-to brand for more traditional, corded tools. There Makita is the clear pick. I love some classic DeWalt machines but the newer stuff is unimpressive. I know there are brand fan boys that insist on a single-color arsenal. I rather go with quality and actual value.

I work in the HVAC trade i was looking to get one of these for cutting the 9 inch circle holes in ceilings to mount registers for the AC/ Heat. This looks like it would be a lot easier than using my jab saw or getting one of those cup adjustable circle cutters you hold up to the ceiling to cut holes. I'll have to pick one of these up asap.

I like the cutout tool form Milwaukee because it’s not as aggressive as a corded cut out tool and it seems like it’s easier to control. I haven’t bought one yet but I do plan to for an upcoming project. I will be doing a full bathroom remodel and turning a porch into a full season room. I think that the Milwaukee cutout tool would be great for all the outlets/recessed lights and cutting out for the windows in the sunroom. I actually think the corded cut out tools are to aggressive. My younger brother who is an electrician was using one a few years ago and he got hurt while cutting out electrical boxes. He was wearing safety glasses but still ended up damaging his eye. He ended up having to get a cornea transplant because the bit on the cutout tool broke. While he was pulling up on the tool the bit broke and it hit him in the eye with a half of bit still in the tool. So mainly the reason for telling that story is I think that the cordless cutout tool from Milwaukee is a much safer option over a corded one. Thx for the review safety first 👍🏼

I as I'm sure many others appreciate the close up look at this tool. Milwaukee has been mad scientist for some years now which has the best tool almost Everytime now over Makita and dewalt which is incredibly hard. now acknowledging this your tool is only as good as your capabilities. to other professionals I know I don't have to say anything but the "ceramic tile" you demonstrated looks to be floor tile which is much harder than wall tile. on that package the carbide bit comes it will tell you it is meant for nothing more than wall tile not floor tile, and it does a great job. I do laugh at those comments where guys often think they're alot smarter than they really are, I don't want to be him right now lol just has to be pointed out as I'm not sure you realized that or edited that part out. once again thank you for your time and effort

Great tool for a guy that does boarding once in a while. The depth guide is a little sloppy for the quality the brand usually holds up to. It will eat through a 2.0 battery pretty fast so I would recommend a bigger battery. Great add on if you already have a line of this brand.

It looks like the bit you used to cut the tile is only the carbide. The carbide is only good for the less hard materials and some wall tiles. Otherwise you need the diamond blade which uses the 1/4 inch collet and shaft. A diamond blade does have to be used slowly as the nature of the cutting diamond grit. Sometimes things take time. A cutting tool should not fail because it takes time. Only idiots push blades along fast in tile or other materials like it as if it is drywall or wood. You can not cut holes in anything effectively with a grinder because you can not get the curve. ??? This is not a fail of the tool or the blades, it is just that you did not buy the right blades. Don't count of what Home Dump sells. That is what most contractors think is all there is. I have countless tools that most people have never seen, that are superior to what they sell in stores or are patented and do not sell anywhere else. I have cut tile, concrete and other such materials with the diamond rotozip blade. You just have to go slow. It is using diamond grit which is very fine which is why it takes time compared to big teeth on a wood blade or even your carbide. You can not cut tile with something with big teeth. That does not work. It is not wood or drywall.

Waste of money. Why pay $199 when you can buy a drywall saw for $10 to do the same thing

Do yourself a favor if any of you purchase this tool......throw away the bits it comes with and buy rotozip bits. Great tool, garbage bits.

I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. kzbin.infoUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.
