The speed at which gen 4 is driving those fasteners is just ridiculous 😂

Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" kzbin.infoUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.

I just got my Gen 4 Impact (tool only/loving it) giving my Gen 3 to my mom for work around the house. She’s become a little handy woman ever since she retired. Haha! I kept my Gen 3 Hammer Drill tho’ due to not seeing much of a difference with the 4. All I could say is that the Gen 4 Impact is a beast. Those 3 LED lights alone are just beautiful 😍😎🦾

It's pretty much the gen 3 with better trigger, collet & lights. I'm waiting for Home Depot to get in stock locally to buy even if I already have 3 gen 3's + previous gens 😂. I'm buying the 12v later today, I checked last night & it says in stock locally 👍

The gen 3 collet was fixed with the gen 3 1/2, which was released a few years ago. It added the 2nd ball bearing inside. They haven't sold the single ball bearing collet gen 3 for years. You should probably add a note making this distinction. I bought a gen 3 impact driver 4 months ago and it has 2 ball bearings and never drops bits.

A friend of my dad gave me a hand me down milwaukee brushed impact driver the 2656-20. As I watched this video I took a peek inside my collet, lo and behold it has 2 ball bearings, my guess is they upgraded all production collets of their future impact drivers for easier manufacturing

The Surge is slower but it gives you more control and less noise. Precision work, i would go with Surge. If you just want to send it, newer Gen3 M12 3453-20 1/4 Hex impact driver or Gen4 M18 2953-20 1/4 Hex impact driver.
@ViscousLandan2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. The Surge is something I’ll use for cabinetry work, hardware, or putting together furniture (unless I need the smaller m12 footprint size). If I’m putting in subfloors, gen4. … now I’m asking myself why I haven’t picked up the m12 surge already…

The runout/wobble of either the shaft or the collet (not sure) on these G4 impacts is ridiculous. I can't even drive a screw with mine above half speed without the bit popping out of the screw head. I've tried 4 different brands of new bits, and exchanged the impact twice now, and both replacements do the same thing. Getting kind of tired of it, for the price I paid of the tool, this shouldn't be a problem!
@rattatoolie7253 Жыл бұрын
Oh shit, for real ?? You tried using the Milwaukee bits ? That’s really neither here, nor there, it should never happen honestly. These tools are EXPENSIVE. I’d be fuckin livid. Damn, all of those exchanges & still having the same problem ?
@rattatoolie7253 Жыл бұрын
My tool collection is Milwaukee. I’m considering the 4th gen, or the newest Makita set. Idk. I like Makita because it’s super light weight with almost the same amount of power. I’d go Makita over Dewalt Sunday any day for reliability & power.
@chickenwings5429 Жыл бұрын
Your collet is wobbly? My first Gen4 wasn’t but I dropped it with a 6 inche bit extender and it got super wobbly. So I returned it and then I go a new one and it’s collet is wobbly as well. My surge isn’t wobbly. It screws in screw straight as an arrow.

Why is the surge m18 fuel more expensive than this new impact , if this impact has more power and torque from what it looks like.
@bobbo71162 жыл бұрын
Surge is hydraulic powered system. Probably paying for the specialized parts needed in that drill. I am assuming thats the reason why
@jef467 Жыл бұрын
Can anyone confirm if the surge is a different drill? I bought the surge impact a few years back and it’s been amazing and all but slightly lacking in power, co worker got a new dewalt XR and it’s awesome. Thinking about getting this new impact woo it be better than my current surge??

@georgedavall94492 жыл бұрын
WTf @0:16, with all that silly clicking and crap and what the heck about the colors??? This is one whack review. This dude has a trigger fetish! NO matter how many times you click that trigger, its still gonna suck. Milwaukee needs to seriously change that crap design! It’s a viewpoint shared by many. I LOVE my M18 Surge, but every time I pick it up, that trigger, and handle design, not great. Check out DeWalt, makita, and early Milwaukee. They all have/had a trigger that flares out at the bottom, not rounded over like on current M18 tools. It creates pressure on the inside joint of the finger, especially if used for long duration, or in heavier duty use. CHANGE IT Milwaukee!!! Nice review Viscious lambs Peace
