Did you try pressing and holding the little black lever attached to the actual Milwaukee auger itself while holding down the power source button simultaneously.

I had an issue where mine wouldn’t want to go forward or backward very far. I guess you have to put a little more pressure around the handle for it to auto feed properly.

I wish you could retract the cable without changing the direction of rotation the take a chance is letting go whatever the head grabbed and leaving it in the drain like a ball of hair

As a plumber for 35 years it is painful for me to watch you try to get a cable down at drain while operating it in reverse

Running it in reverse helps negotiate turns or traps sometimes,but the video looks like its in reverse bit its definitely running foward.I seen that when I made the video.I noticed my trash can on the opposite side 🙂

I have a Rigid trap snake same thing as this. However that Ridgid is going for over 50 bucks. The Milwaukee is on special for 30 bucks right now. Yes you can put a drill on it which is how I plan to use it that gives way more control due to variable speed rather than spending 100 bucks on the Milwaukee power source. So best bang for your buck at this moment is actually Milwaukee

You do not have to use the auto feed feature.This tool is very versatile!!!

It literally took me 5 mins to hook up my auger drive “ no instructions “ and hit pop and clear a urinal .. My only problem how the heck to your remove the tool drive ? Lol

This Trapsnake is way better then a drill connected to hand snake,trust me.

@@anandpatel1433 Yes it fits a 1/4 inch cable but only the Milwaukee cable can be used on the Trapsnake because in the drum it has a special slot to attach only the Milwaukee cable and it screws down to secure the cable.The Milwaukee Trapsnake is smaller and lighter then drill attached to a snake.I clear drains daily ,so,that makes a big difference.

It’s both Manuel and self feed,sometimes it’s very necessary to manually feed than auto feed.Finesse brother,finesse.lmao.

Do not buy this product, it's useless. I've been trying to make it work for a week now. Most of the time it won't feed forward at all, if you are lucky to make it feed forward now it won't come back and you have to pull it manually. It has hard time negotiating any kind of bends, even the easy ones. Shame on Milwaukee for selling such a low quality product.

The machine has 3 wheels on the tip of the machine.Make sure the power supply button is set for the machine to go either forward or backward and press and SQUEEZE the trigger so the wheels can engage the cable,otherwise the cable will just spin without feeding nor retracting depending on the option pressed on power supply(switch on power supply)
