There are a few amazing artists that have helped us become the painters we are today but none nearly as much as Mina Villegas. She is a true source of inspiration and love and has become a great friend very quickly! We would be months behind where we are today if it weren't for her and her mentorship and tutelage. This episode is our tribute to her. We recreated two of her famous pours, the wandering cup and straight pour with a dirty cup and we even used some of her favorite colors and her mixing recipe. Watch as we try and do her proud with a couple of fun pours and stay tuned for some Mina sightings too!! :-)

Oh dear God the purple, gold, purple gold color in that dirty pour Jeremy is just my absolutely favorite color combo, like ever, not sure why that speaks so much to me but honey child, that's just beyond words. Lee never great, love your teals and blues, your jumping dolphins! Wisdom comes from experiences and you are gaining experience with every pour, so dolphins seem fitting!!!

Gentlmen, you are such a breath if fresh air! Had such a hectic morning wk wise then decided to hop on here and watch some videos and so glad i did. I love Mina and have prob watched every one of her videos. Some lessons I've gleaned from watching her: dont pass your hands over your painting as you are titling - you'll drip on it (i learned the hard way); dont ruin 75% of the painting by titling too much to fix 25% you dont like (think it was Mina who said that) - add more paint to corner/section you dont like if nec; pour slower when doing dirty cups as you will retain colour seperation; tilt slow and anchor sections you love and most of all, have faith in yourself and as you learn you will look back on a rich portfolio of your creations 😍 I loved both of your paintings but am a huge fan of dirty cup pours. Bravo to you both and to Mina and her HOA! 👍👍👍👍

I could never compare the two pictures they are both amazing! I love the awesome movement of the wandering pour and I love the purple that is overlaying the gold on the straight pour. Mina was the first artist I started watching and through her have started watching, Sarah, Fiona and Gail. They have all inspired me but mostly brought light to my world when I needed it most.
