I always squeeze the zucchini because they are so watery and the cakes don’t rise otherwise. Kind of like with a carrot cake.

Yes. I've made it and reduced the amount of sugar by 60 grams (so instead of 320, I used only 260 grams) and it came out perfect, the right level of sweetness for me.

Good grief, imagine being so insecure that you have to post this comment 😆 If it bothers you that much, just use regular butter instead of plant-based, and you'll be fine! Or accept that not every recipe on KZbin is catered to your personal preferences, and go find one of the literally hundreds of thousands of non-vegan chocolate cake recipes out there 🙄
