Regarding the story, I got where they were going with this twist of revealing to the main characters 6 hours in what Mind Hacking was. The grand idea here was that our main character himself was constantly mind hacked and didn't know it. Explains why he did so much fucked up stuff at the start and broke his protocols. Only problem is: Instead of being a genius twist it outright doesn't work, because the game failed in every other aspect including the hammy story presentation. I really wish there would have been a proper game with this twist and gameplay idea done right.

When I was living in a Hostel with nothing but a TV and a modded Xbox 360, I had a guy who could get me new games on burnt discs every two weeks when I got paid. This was my one source of entertainment, and without it, I'd be sitting in my very small unit staring at the wall all day. One day my disc guy called and said he had a few new games ready and one of them was Mindjack. I had no idea what it was, all I cared was yay, new games! Want want want. Stuff happened, I couldn't get it, and I waited for about 3 months for another chance to get games from him, and that entire time all I could think about was playing Mindjack. I didn't care what it was, I just fucking needed it. Then I finally moved into my own unit, and ages later I see this video on KZbin. Holy fuck was I spared.

i was working at gamestop at the time this game was released. an older man came in one day and picked up mindjack for his grandsons birthday. i told him very politely that he'd rather choose another title because this abomination would surely make his grandson hate him. the store manager was standing close by and overheard the conversation and immediately fired me because i wasn't doing my job of ripping this poor man off and making the sale. i told the boss man to fuck off and proceeded to walk to the bar across the street. the older gentleman followed me, bought me a drink or two, and apologized for what had happened. he ended up being my father in law. so what i'm trying to say is, i guess one good thing came out of this game :)

But even then it doesn't fuggin' work because it wouldn't make any sense in context - if you were controlling just these two, then they'd never notice. But would they simply write off a little girl spouting an assault rifle, murdering enemy soldiers to help them out? Pretty fucking conspicuous if you ask me. Okay, there can be some bs explanation like "the player erased/tampered with their memories", but what about HQ, what about the CCTV tapes?! It's a mess through and through, the only thing that could've been the game's saving grace got tarnished like everything else.

It's also funny that the woman just tells the guy that she's angry after he murders the other guy instead of, say, killing him. The explanation of the Mind Hack after you've been doing it reminds me of Shadows of Mordor. Well after I learned Shadow Mount, the annoying dwarf teaches me a harder way to mount and ride Caragors. I like how they all have the same earpiece.
