To answer your question about why aren't most UFC fighters rocking a huge beard, there is a couple of reasons. For context i am a nationally ranked amateur MMA fighter as well as in boxing and kickboxing and I'm an internationally credited cornerman and coach so what I'm about to say comes from first and second hand experience and not google lol. One pragmatic reason why fighters dont grow long beards is because it can increase friction, which for certain chokes like the guillotine is very bad. One of my buddies got caught in one during a fight and was doing everything to get out of it but his dreads along with the beard allowed for the opponent to maintain a firm grip of his neck whereas when you are bare faced and sweaty you can more easily slip out of submissions. Second reason is depending on the athletic comission there are regulations on facial/head hair. For example to compete in USA boxing sanctioned bouts you must be clean shaven. The historical reason for this is because old school MMA and kickboxers would use a technique to cause a cut and then would purposefully make their hair course and rough and rub their face in the cut to open it up further and make it worse.

I'm from El Paso, TX and western wear is a style here . I grew up with seeing my grandfather rock western wear, but he was from Mexico and he grew up in a ranch. He always wore his boots, and hat especially on special occasions. The only time I saw him wearing casual wear was when he was getting ready for bed. My dad is hispanic and he was not one to wear western wear but since he started to hang out with my grandfather he then began to purchase western wear and he'd dress in his western wear attire with his cowboy hat when he'd be hanging out with my grandfather and he rocked it! You guys should at least visit a western wear clothing store once and try on a whole outfit. There are super colorful shirts but also some that are not so showy. They have a large variety of styles in western wear just like they do in other types of styles. My husband owns several outfits that are western wear and several hats, and boots and he looks really handsome and sexy! I'm pretty sure ur wives won't complain ;) I'd encourage you to try it at least once. Make plans to attend a rodeo and go in your outfit and you will fit right in ;)

I love Xero shoes! I have wide feet at the toes, so these rock! For 18 months, they are the only shoes I ever wear for any purpose outside the house other than rock climbing shoes and flip-flops. I lift at home and it's always barefoot on a yoga mat over wood. Zero rise heels helped to stabilize my back, hip and knee issues while I began my strength training journey at age 43.

To get a heaping scoop of creatine daily (5-8g)....I make a fruit shake daily with a mitt full of spinach, some frozen avacado chunks and a scoop of vanilla whey. Then whichever frozen fruit I want to get after on any given day. Hiding the spinach, avacado and creatine behind a bunch of real fruit makes it tasty and easy....and DAILY. This either serves as breakfast or lunch, whichever I don't have time for with that day's run around!

Best shoe I've had, New Ballance Minimus 10v1. It's a no-cushion Trail run shoe so none of the Gymies know of it (bonus points). They have changed it a few times in the 7 years it's been out but I bought a few boxes. If you have shoes you like, buy a few extra pair! Manufactures will ALWAYS change them and rarely for the better. Also, prices are just going up every year.

I was homeschooled before it became mainstream. I got made fun of a lot, but so do kids in school. I hated it at the time, but I'm 30 now and actually grateful. I was able to graduate a year early, work, and make some money before starting college. Homeschooling can be so massively successful as long as it's done right. Find good curricula and be sure to socialize your kids with different types of people; They'll turn out smart and well- adjusted!

As a southern country girl, listening to your boot conversation has me in stitches 😂 Growing up in Missouri, and with horses, it was nothing to ride bareback in cut off jean shorts and your boots. Leg strength like none other! We also competed in rodeo and it's pretty amazing being one with a 1,000# animal and being competitive at it. It's definitely something hearing conversation surrounding something that seems so normal to me and how intriguing it is to you guys. Boots are, by far, the choice footwear around here and I'd be lying if I didn't say I've even lifted in them before 😂 And Doug, those gator skin boots are for the cowboy's Sunday best or going on a date as a gentleman who makes the ladies swoon! Next step is absolutely the big shiny belt buckle 😁 love you guys!

UFC fighters don’t have long beards because it’s harder to get out of a hold. If you’re hairless and sweaty you can slip out but the beard provides enough traction for your opponent to take you down.

Speaking to the metal in baby food. My oldest works in food manufacturing and he explained to me that the equipment they use has metal components like blenders and such. Sometimes they will get metal shavings from wear and tear. The lines that carry the product have magnets in them and are supposed to grab the metal and impurities as the product passes through.

I remember sophomore year I had PE right before lunch. If you used cologne or not in my peer group was a personal choice, but we would harass the crap out of you if you put too much on. However, there was a particular group that would drown themselves in Polo and Tommy Hilfiger everyday. Luckily we had exits to the locker room at both ends and I normally wouldn't have to walk through their stench most days.

Love this episode! Love the fact that it's about the shoes for heavy weights. I wear flat Keds as I am a barefoot type of person so I feel the difference definitely. I don't understand how people can wear the fancy rubber on the bottom shoes for heavy lifting. And I don't feel you have to spend an arm and a leg or over 150 Dollars just for a simple shoe that's flat close to the ground with a half moon toe area for room and balance... As for the cowboy boots, I have like three pair that I got in Nashville and I love them... You go Doug❤

I’m not sure if I agree with you, Adam, that a business person should be running this country - at least not someone with no experience in the nonprofit sector. Regardless, you’re insane if you think Trump is a good business person. He bankrupt a casino, for Godsake! He’s a con man, pure and simple. I also find it rather shocking that someone who is spouses the family values you do can support him as a human being. I’m sure I won’t win the program for this comment, but I couldn’t keep silent. Stick to Fitness - there you guys know what you’re talking about.

No, Justin, it was a status thing, of course long before the Industrial Revolution which led to mass production, everything was done by hand and at the bottom of the status levels you had as basic of foot coverage as you could get with very little protection and the higher classes would go through all sorts of fashion ideas and one of them with a very very long and extended, being similar to the idea of women in China binding their feet to show status, in that they don't have to work. The original dress shoe & boot would have a longer toe to show that you were important and you didn't have to do any labor, and, eventually, when shoes became a lot easier to produce with more resources and easier production processes, it became a popular trend that everybody had a very long shoe that came to a point (or a flat tip) and eventually, to save on resources again, they just started making the shoes more and more narrow to keep up with that fashion idea. The Gentleman's Gazette channel has a video or two on this. The raised heel was for stirrups, not the pointed toe
