Our mindset shapes the direction of our lives. Sadly do due to childhood trauma, many of us have developed self-destructive ways of thinking. The good news is that our brains are neuroplastic and we can change those pathways ♥️

The worst thing about childhood trauma is that you keep defending thinking patterns it developped in you. It's part of your identity and it's so difficult to drop it though it's doing you no good. At least that's what I'm struggling with

Marisa Peer has devised Rapid Transformational Hynotherapy (RTT) in which you go back to instances if childhood trauma and reprogram your mind. She is on youtube. It's helped me a lot. Many of us may have complex-PTSD if the trauma went on for years but even so, pulling out the most prominent memories and fixing them really helps. I used her free content but then signed up for a course which I have for life. In case it helps anyone 🙏❤

I have used this "looking for hearts" method for YEARS and it works. I use a black circle, i.e. a hair tie. It is incredible how when I am in doubt all of a sudden there is a black hair tie, everywhere in public, and in my home...even when I was bald for year with cancer, somehow, hair ties everywhere, a communication network between my mind and the outer world, confirmation of "girl, life is working in your favor, KEEP GOING!" 3 years cancer free now!!

Loved the message! I went through something similar to this 2 years ago. I had hit rock bottom, and could not see a way out. I decided to educate myself on self awareness, self image, self care, etc.. This became my new reality with a clear sense of direction with motivation being my drive. I'd like to think I am great at motivating others. Unfortunately, after 2 years of getting to know myself on a higher understanding I could not motivate myself. I was bombarded, and started to sway into my negative thought patterns. But! If fate intervened, and I had my epiphany as you might describe it. What drives my motivation now is a simple quote I tell myself when someone challenges me. "No one is going to steal my joy." When I watched your podcast I couldn't believe it. Basically, you're teaching the same message that took me 2 years to realize. Phenomenal! I thoughtfully enjoyed your perspective. 🤗

Hand to hand combat with your mind...that's exactly right. It gets very difficult to keep going when you have a barrage of crap handed to you within a span of 2 years. I could list it all, but I wouldn't be unique in this situation. Life just kicked my *ss, and it's so difficult to see the hearts. The hardest thing is when your main touchstone (in this case, my sister) succumbs to cancer. She was always the one to see the hearts in everything.

He's standing and thinking: - I hate my job, it socks - my boss is a monster - I don't get along with my wife, she's bitch, always argue with me for no reson - and my health get worse And there's an angel standing next to this man with a notebook, writing... We will listen to the only negative narrative!! I've had more positive remarks on my writings compared to negative. I freeze, my thoughts scramble, I'm 52, My mind will drift to high school. Or the friend who ghosted me. I'm paralyzed in dry waters, I can't swim out or breathe.

I listen to you daily lol!! I love the ' rocket out of bed'. I also love the, "No one is coming." My husband actually told me that a few weeks ago. I'm getting my ducks in a row.

Thanks Mel! You are so incredibly awesome! I got out of an unhealthy long relationship in 2020 and have been thriving ever since-- I have taken all the positive energy to get back to me and having been living in joy and gratitude.. Nothing but good is happening! And hopefully, I may have just met the "right guy" for me just recently! Still in the getting to know him phase, but so far so good. Even if it doesn't work out, that's OK because I am so secure with myself. And I know it will happen. Thanks for reminding us again to only put energy into the positives and the future VS going back into past negative thoughts. Thoughts beget action! And we are what we think! Change your thinking, change your life!

Amazing stuff You bring ancient truths to the forefront and back them with the science while providing simple viable methods to utilize the knowledge.🎉 Many believe that there is an ancient law that ‘energy follows through’, it’s also been said that ‘as a man thinks in his heart so he is’. The question becomes, ‘what are we thinking’ and can we stop self-deception and choose better thoughts? With the knowledge you share the answer is ‘yes’! As you often share, you choose’ to work on it daily! Thanks to you and your work many others can do it also, including myself. I love your podcasts❤❤❤ Thank You😊

Over the last 3 yr I’ve funneled down to despair since pandemic isolation & listened to your podcast every single night during my 3:15 am wake up What thing anxiety and not being able to go back to sleep and your podcast would call me down and make practical sense and give me tools to help me. Listening to this again for at least the 10th time as I listen for four hours till I fall back to sleep for an hour in AM, this identifies my mind exactly is that a spiral down to South dark depression hopelessness and sadness and I’m trying to claw my way out! So thank you Mel… I used to be so happy, social, positive & now I’m spending more and more time alone because I don’t want people to see how sad I really am… It’s harder to fake happiness now! Thank you Mel for all you do!
