I just started using one about 3 months ago and I love it, but I only use it at home and not when I'm out running errands. There is a learning curve with the cup, but once you figure it out it's a dream. No unnecessary waste and you end up saving a lot of money

Honestly it was nice to hear someone else openly talk about their periods and cramps. I had to get my periods blocked using hormones because mine got so bad that I was being sick from pain and I know exactly how you feel rolling around uncontrollably in agony. It’s been 4 years since starting my period blocker and I’ve decided to stop them, I don’t think it’s something I want to be on long term and I also want to start the process of getting my fertility back and starting to think about a family so I’m praying they are more manageable now

On the coconut oil, YES!!! Since my hysterectomy we I have had horrible pain so my dr said to use coconut oil NOT regular store lubricants. It’s natural and works so much better for us!🙂

Mindy what a great job you have done. Growing up, all of these topics would have been considered a taboo in my house. Like you I used to suffer horrible periods. I would go up to four months of not getting a period, but when it arrived watch out. I would roll all over the bed in pain, throw-up, suffer from diarrhea, blood clots, horrible migraines and on a couple of occasions I even passed out from the pain. When my mom took me to the doctor he suggested “the pill”. My mom told me no. She said good girls don’t take the pill. When I turned 19 I went on my own and got myself on the pill. My mom found them and called me a whore. Our relationship was never the same.

Aw Laura this breaks my heart🥺 I think bringing these topics to light is extremely important for this reason. There is a huge misconception on why women take birth control and it’s only to prevent pregnancy but it’s not. We take it for acne & to improve our period pain, however if we choose to take birth control to prevent pregnancy that is our personal choice and we are right to do so and nobody should be shamed for that. Love how open and honest you are ❤ I have always had horrible periods. Since about 13 I was on birth control to try and control them. My mid twenties they became unbearable. Huge blood clots...could feel them detaching. Just awful. At one point I bled for 6 months some days very light some days not so much. I ended up needed a blood transfusion. I've since had an IUD. And it has literally saved me. I think it's so important for us women to share our stories and experiences!

I wish menstrual cups were more commonly talked about. They're life changing imo! I've been using them for about 5 years. I recently found the June cup. Way less expensive, but just as effective as the diva cup! I'm Super heavy! I would go through a dozen tampons in a day. I'm a huge advocate for them! A little bit of a learning curve, but so worth it! Great video!

I put off trying me new cup for almost a year. But I have used it for my last two periods, and it is amazing. No leaks, easy to remove, really comfortable, and has never moved up from where I'd put it in. This cup truly is amazing! I used to use tempons during the day and pads at night. I'd still get leaks at night sometimes, even with extra long over night pads with wings. And then you have to keep tempons in your purse and change them during the day, and make sure you haven't forgotten to carry them or used up the last ones in the cupboard last month. So much easier now. No leaks and having to get blood stains out of sheets and clothes, no remembering to buy/bring tempons, no taking up half the bathroom cupboard with all different things I used - liners, light pads, overnight pads, super tempons, regular tempons - Now I just have liners and my cup - no gross, smelly used pads/tempons to dispose of, way less waste throwing away all that plastic and plastic packaging. And cups are really discreet. No need to have period products in your bag, bathroom or bin. Great for being intimate with your partner at that time of the month too - you don't have pads stuck to your underwear or a string there. So you can get naked and play around, then take the cup out if you want to make space for something else!

Menstrual cups are amazing!! I've been using mine for over three years and have not bought any pads or tampons since then. They do come in different sizes if you tend to have a heavier flow. I absolutely love mine, and it can be inserted up to 12 hours a day which makes things so much easier. Yes, you just fold the cup and insert it in. It's going to be a little weird or uncomfortable the first few times using it but once you know what works for you.. you're going to love it! I highly recommened. I put a couple of friends on it and they never went back! I purchased the Lena Cup from Amazon! I hope that helps 😊 Love your videos Mindy!!

@@chelseyweber8089 it takes time for your body to get used to it, but it if continues to be uncomfortable you may have too large of a size in. If you haven't yet, look up June brand. They sell their cups at cost, so around $6-9 each which makes it easier to purchase multiple sizes to try out. It can depend on the height of your cervix mid cycle too, i always have a day or 2 where my cervix is super low and makes the cup too uncomfortable to wear. But the other days are super comfortable with no issues.

When you held up the Dove soap bar I was like "omg we are the same!" LOL. I thought I was the only one who used that stuff. But years ago my OBGYN told me just warm water should be all you need but if I do feel better using soap she recommended the Dove soap bar and a few others I can't remember now but yeah. The Dove bar is very safe and gentle and does the job. I also use it to lather up before I shave.

I have a genetic blood clotting disorder, where the protein that helps stop your blood from clotting just doesn’t work well, so I have INSANE clotting during my periods. I can’t use tampons at all or I will have an accident on my pants. I feel you on the clotting thing. It also makes your cramps more intense because your crevix is having to dilate more to pass it. ❤️

Hi Mindy I'm glad the low sex drive came up. I'm going to be 39 this July and my sex drive has been pretty much non-existent since I was about 25. It does fluctuate but, most of the time I have no will. I have spoken to my Dr about it she did say it could be my medications as well as my age😩 luckily my guy is like Larry, he doesn't pressure me. This feels like talking to a friend!

Thank you Mindy! Great video! So… I’ve always had a very heavy and painful periods … PMS ing to the point I needed to make “I’m sorry “ cards for my husband… all that went away after pregnancy! Well… cravings didn’t go away and always in a mood for ice cream or chocolate. Menstrual cups are great. I live in the Middle East and in a hot weather is something that makes me really comfortable. I use cups few years now ( before and after pregnancy) and there is nothing better for me to use. It can handle lots of liquid and it’s safe and hygienic.

I have pcos and it's by far the worst. I can go months without a period, but when I do omg they are horrible. I can have the worst cramps and not have a period. I’m 22 and my husband is 54 we have 2 beautiful girls together, a 3 year old and a 3 month old. Ever since we’ve been together his sex drive it just off the charts I’m talking every day sometimes twice a day he had a stroke back in 2019 and he is paralyzed on his left side of the body but his sex drive is still the SAME! As someone who also has super heavy periods, the menstrual cup is honestly a godsend! I use the lunette cup because they have different two sizes and I bought the larger one. You can keep it in for up to 12 hours (but I usually have to empty it more frequently on my heavy flow days) and reuse it over and over! I’ve had mine now for over 5 years and I can’t believe I used so many tampons before. I strongly recommend it!!!

I use sugar for brazilian)))! no ingrowth hair, no irritation! its painful for the first 2-3 times, than its ok. Just make sure to do that regular. After 2-3 years you will have twice less hair. By the way: i do it myself!

I am not sure we have high quality razors in russia. As sugaring: 1. Jar costs 25$ small amount and it lasts longer than a year! 2. I hate razors... I shaved bikini zone once in my life and it was horrible! I got sooo itchy. But that is what you have to do before lasor

I second the Sugar wax!! There is a difference in the sugar and hard wax! It doesn't make it painless, but a lot less pain with sugar! I love it!

Totally TMI but I'm going to put it all out there... In the past I myself have waxed my husband downstairs because he wanted it done but felt awkward getting it done by a stranger & he once took out my IUD because I was bleeding horribly & my dr wanted me to keep it in another 2 month's to see if it calmed down. Umm no thank you! I will also stress this to you. DO NOT DO A MEDICAL PROCEDURE AT HOME. Please go yo your dr or find a dr that's willing to help you out. Communication is KEY in any relationship. You NEED to be open, honest, & communicate to keep your relationship strong & healthy. Awesome video!

I have tried 3 different cups…. Diva cup, saalt cup, and now finally the Flex cup. The flex is by far the best. They have an actual pull tab that breaks the seal in the cup, makes it soooo much easier to remove and less stress/freaking out that it won’t come out 😭 Also read the directions & follow them as best you can. Make sure the cup is fully opened inside as well! The tip of running your finger along the outside of the cup inside you to make sure it’s sealed was so so helpful!!

I have had several Brazilians. My tips are, exfoliate area the night before and day of appointment, make sure you take ibuprofen before your appointment, no caffeine the day of appointment (otherwise it can increase the pain levels) first time will hurt but it's over very quickly, results are worth it!! After each session, the gets better if not very minimal.

Going through ivf since February no luck yet but my periods have definitely changed. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one noticing a change after testing and hormones. Your channel has helped so much through this time. Your honesty and realism is so refreshing. Thank you Mindy and Larry. You two are seriously the cutest! As for the cup though I started using one since starting this journey and it is amazing, no more rushing to the bathroom to check for leaks! I bought mine at Target the brand is Saalt. I personally bought the regular size but they do have a smaller size as well. It gives you a paper on all the different ways to insert because everyone is different and I loved that I had that. It helped a ton with learning the best way for me to use it. I haven’t noticed any discomfort or pain and I barley know it’s there. Hope that helps. ❤️

Low libedo here too 🙋🏼‍♀️ I also struggle with terrible cramps on my period to the point that I had to go on birth control originally just to be able to not miss school and work. I also just got my first Brazilian wax this past week. Let me tell you, hurt VERY badly in the moment, but worth it A) because I feel cleaner B) I feel more confident and C) it will help me have less ingrown hairs and the hair will be less coarse over time. 4 days in and it was definitely worth the initial torture. Menstrual cups are a game changer for me!!! I started using one 6/7 years ago and I’ll never go back. Lunette and Saalt are my two favorites. More cost upfront but it will pay for itself after just a few cycles of not buying other products. Helpful videos on the web for getting started too 🤗

For really bad cramps, a week before my period I drink one cup raspberry leaf tea and when my period starts I drink two cups and it helps the cramps tremendously! It has no caffeine as well(:

Loved this video. I think many of us have a low libido and think it's more common than not. And once I found my husband we talked about everything. Our likes and dislikes and has made intimacy so much better. Larry is great at these topics also you should do one of these together.

Larry's encouragement at the end was awesome. Also, the best way to know if the guy wants you more than the activity is if he doesn't hound you, and he's proposed marriage. As for the cup, those things are great. It's like a combination of a tampon and diaphragm. Mine can last six hours. Yours might last three or four. It's best to experiment with it the first few days at home. It costs about thirty-five dollars, and you can find it online, or at some natural food and goods stores.

I changed to using menstrual cup bc I was so tired of the waste and the constant need to change my products so often. I have the organicup I got it from a shop in England but you can get them from amazon however some people have said this specific one isn't the best as the ridges are quick hard silicone compared to other but i havent had an issue with this if anything i think it helps secure it in place more. Thing I have to mention is that you definitely need to be patient and get used to using them and how to place them correctly for your body but now I could go a whole night with no spillage, I also use menstrual underwear which are so much better than pads as you cannot feel the moisture or wicking at all. Defo look into these mindy they'll save money, waste and could make you feel more comfortable on your period. I hope this has helped any questions I'll be happy to answer for you xx

I struggle a lot with my body image. Until my mid 20s I was very thin 5’6” 125 lbs. I gained 60 pounds at times more than 60. I have been living carb and sugar free since January and I have lost 20 pounds but I still have a LOT of cellulite on the front and back of my legs. Ugh stresses me out. If it was just the back of my legs I wouldn’t care but the front of my legs really bothers me. I made the mistake of placing a lot of my worth on my looks when I was younger and as an almost 35 year old woman who is starting to show signs of aging, it really takes a toll on me. All I really have to say is thank you. We need more influencers to speak the truth and let people know that they’re not alone and what they’re feeling matters. Because I did indeed get pressured to loose my virginity because I wanted him to stay with me which is absolutely wrong all that did was cause an accident that wasn’t planned and he ended up leaving me the next day. So this is why this type of video would’ve been nice to see or have at a young age since my parents weren’t really into explaining that stuff to me which I understand but wish I would’ve have someone open enough to share these things!! I've used a MeLuna menstrual cup for about 4 years now and it changed me life - it definitely takes a few months to get the hang of but they're great even with a heavy flow and are way better for the environment!

First off I gotta say I love this video! Hearing so many people have similar issues means I’m not alone. This is so helpful. Also menstrual cups are LIFE! At least for me anyway. I bought my first cup on a website(I forget the name) but only because it was like $10. It was a struggle at first to learn how to insert it correctly took me about 3 cycles to get used to it. Now I use the Lunette cup. And I love it! I ordered all of my cups off of Amazon. I watched KZbin videos on them first before buying trying to figure out which one would work best for me but it’s really about trial and error. It helps me with my cramps and I just feel a lot more comfortable and cleaner when I use them. Plus with my flow I am able to wear it for the full 12 hours and that is just great. I think everyone should at least try to see if menstrual cups work for them. Plus you are helping the environment so that is a definite plus!

Loved it, Mindy! To teenagers.. please take Mindy and Larry's advise; say NO if you do not want to. 1, 2, 3, 4., ect months with someone who is pressuring you is not the reason to say yes. You want that time to be memorable and enjoyable, not looking back and remembering you had a mental breakdown afterwards because of lack of knowledge and preparedness (as I did too).
