How to make an automatic minecart system that will load and unload the contents of a minecart at a FULL STOP into an automatic item sorter and then re-dispatch using a Redstone comparator and a repeater/torch cancellation sequence. I also added a back-up system using a sequence of repeaters to combat hopper overload issues (when the output of your farms or mine is too large, your minecart can get stuck. This will address and fix that issue as I got a few questions about it in my last minecart tutorial.)

Hey guys, so this still works 100%, but probably not in Bedrock due to many Redstone differences. For Java users, it's really important that your comparators, repeaters and torches are in the right spot -- the unloading and loading mechanisms are similar, but they have some very important differences. Make sure every single block is the same. If you choose to exclude one of the solid blocks that divide the comparators from the repeaters etc., the system will not work. Also, make sure those blocks are solid -- meaning no glass, soulsand, honey etc. Another thing I'll say is that you should make sure that there's no external Redstone around the build that may mess with the system. Rogue sources of redstone can lock hoppers and interfere with the repeaters. There's no reason for this not to work in Java 1.16. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to diagnose your problems through comments because trying to visualize your issue through text can be lost in confusing redstone & positioning jargon lol. Hope you liked the tutorial, these videos seem to do well on my channel, so I'll probably capitalize on that 🙂

This also works on bedrock edition. I just built it with some minor adjustments. Although my automatic sorting is totally different. But it has nothing to do with the transport

The cancellation switch seems to be ineffective once the returning minecart rolls over the detector rail...which fires the backup system. W/O the backup system, the cancellations switch works as designed. Any thoughts on how to correct this?

Great video and tips. Have you thought about building into it a system that sends the overflow in your sorter from sand or cobble to a smelter? I set up a manual dump on mine that goes to my furnace line, but it would be cool to set the percentage of sorted cobble that was retained and not smelted.
@HussarHydeGaming
@HussarHydeGaming 3 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you liked the video! I think I get what you're saying. So in other words sand, cobble etc. gets sorted into the system... underneath those chests there's hoppers that are locked by a Redstone torch and can be toggled off by a lever pulsing into a block and therefore allowing you to choose how much cobble, sand, nether rack etc. You'd want to smelt vs. Kept raw? Interesting concept. I was actually thinking of making a similar video where mineable resources go from auto minecart to super efficient super smelter to sorting system. Thanks for the ideas! (if I interpreted them correctly

@@HussarHydeGaming Yes you get it. Like you I sort some stuff directly to the smelter. But I like to keep at least half of my Cobble, sand and some other materials unrefined. So I have a manual dump valve to empty some into the smelter feed line. A better way would be to use a comparator to detect when a certain level has been achieved or just using redstone to divert a portion of the material to the smelter. There are times when you want to keep some ores out of the furnace to keep from clogging things.

Same here at first. Then I put ONE block in the right-most hopper position. Then ONE in the second-from-right position. Then kept going across putting ONE block in each. THEN I loaded up the left-most position. It sucked out all but 18. All set. I don't know why this works (which bugs me) but it works.

@@HussarHydeGaming I'm still trying to figure out how to make a working elevator on the console and it's driving me insane.
@HussarHydeGaming
@HussarHydeGaming 3 жыл бұрын
@@LordFyrestone On console? Hmmm, so I'm not sure how many differences there are between console and Java, but a soul sand water elevator should work. Just make a pillar of water surrounded by blocks, fill the stream with kelp from bottom to top, destroy the kelp and then place a piece of soul sand on the very bottom of the water column. But maybe look up a tutorial and try it in creative before you waste more time lol. An alternative to that would be a minecart elevator. Xiumavoid shows how to make one in this video at 14:29 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXW1l6SLZ7uem7s . He uses end rods for the underpinning, but you can also use iron bars

The repeator should next to the rail. Make sure the comparator is next to the hopper and facing the right direction. This design works, just make sure it's 100% identical
