Mojang actually added quite a bit, but he's ignoring it. There are these new "Test Block"s. I suggest to anyone wanting to know more to wait for Slicedlime, a better source, to post a video, since he never misses anything (he's a mojang dev).

They added in this snapshot literally the test blocks Searge presented us years ago. They allow to test infinite number of bugs within seconds upon freshly loaded world. With Community support over it Minecraft can be more bug free than ever before.

It’s just a snapshot and not even the drop yet And they also added a lot of technical features like the test block which yiu probably won’t mind but is big for the recourse pack/modding community
