Etho, for your landfill problem: Put a servo on your duct which pumps the zombie flesh out of the chest and then click it with an empty hand. You may then set how many items are pulled each time, e.g. 10.

Hey Etho, you can look at the basins as a storage tank. They just hold liquids, and if it has X amount of liquid, it turns it into Y block. But in liquid form, you can pump the liquids out. You just turn the input fluiduct to an output, and the output to an input, and it'll pump right back into the smeltery. With the shift click issue, you were partially right. If you don't have the items, it won't craft it. And if you already have an item in the crafting table, it has some problems. It also has issues with non-stackable items. One neat thing with it, is you can use it with your ME system. The ME system has a crafting terminal, and you can shift click stuff in there, and it'll use the items in the storage system. *Really* easy crafting. It saves hours upon hours. And that's no exaggeration. Some of those long crafting chains take *forever*, but with an ME system, it takes a couple minutes. Also, Applied Energistics is the name of the *mod*. ME is the name of the storage system you can make using AE. ME stands for MatterEnergy, I believe. I used to be like you, and just kinda avoided the whole AE thing, cause it felt kinda odd and overpowered, but once I used it, I fell in love completely. It completely reworks everything you know about modded minecraft. I look forward to your adventures in AE. Also, you'll get confused. A lot. And we're gonna laugh at you.

I think the "odd/overpowered" feel was what prompted the substantial changes (specifically channels and autocrafting) in AE 2. A lot of people who were used to plumbing every recipe machine or system they made into AE in previous versions disliked AE2 initially, but I think that now that they're getting used to thinking and laying things out logically, using subnetworks and p2p tunnels etc. most people agree that AE2 fits better into modded minecraft in general than AE 1 did. That aside, crash landing is likely to be the last pack you play with AE 1 so you might as well go nuts and AE all the things just to see what it's like.

when you part-fill up a basin or table with a liquid you don't want, you can simply use the crescent hammer to change the PULL end of the liquiduct to PUSH and change the PUSH end to PULL, then just turn it on and it will pump the liquid back into the smeltery

Etho please fix your pressure generation. There are a few ways you can massively improve. First of all use better pipes. The better pipes can handle more pressure and you will charge your drones faster. The second thing you can and should do is use gauge and redstone to turn your compressor on and off. The gauge had a redstone energy level depending on the pressure it has. This means that you can set your compressor to only generate on low redstone and with some simple redstone wiring you can turn it on/off when it reaches a certain pressure.

Etho there is both a high pressure and low pressure level in Pneumaticraft, you are using a low pressure tubes with the kinetic compressor a high pressure compressor. You need high pressure pipes and to separate/regulate the junctions between low and high pressure systems

Great series, man! Liked and subscribed! Here's a couple of tips for everyone: - you can switch the direction of liquiducts with a wrench so you can get your liquids back from a casting basin or table - the impulse itemducts are indeed faster - using pneumatic servos will not only speed things up, you can also set filters for items and liquids, which can be useful for smelteries. Especially for making seared bricks which you might need a butload of for more pneumatic servos. - the shift-click thing for recepies works only if you have all the items in your inventory BUT they all must be stackable, if not you must do it manually - you can put a special kind of armor on your jetpack - use rednet cables and controllers for redstone stuff, it's quite cheap and very powerful - get rid of all the nasty slag laying around just by setting a scorched duct to the right symbol, it will keep it in its inventory (or send it to a chest or whatever)

Etho, you can set a liquiduct to return liquids to the smeltery by switching the red arrow end to draw from the casting basin. Follow this up by setting the smeltery connection to receive (remove the red arrow), A redstone signal will cause the liquiduct to remove the fluid form your casting basin and return it to the smeltery. Add pneumatic servos to set the fluid type withdrawn from the smeltery to emeralds and this should no longer be a problem.

Hey Etho, there's a secret Presidential Bunker at 5000, -5000 that is part of a story line that was never implemented. It has some really really good loot, however, bring explosives (such as a SPAMR Launcher) because there are security panels preventing you from breaking blocks.

Etho, if you are in need of dirt there is a quick and easy way to get lots of it. Create a tree farm using planeter and a harvester. The harvester also creates sludge. If you pipe that sludge into a sludge boiler it will process it into a lot of mycelium, dirt, gravel, salt, clay and many other things. :) This method is awesome because you can also use the tree farm to generate unlimited water, leaves, and wood.

Hey Etho! A good way of clearing the mob system chest is composting the string, spider eyes, potatoes, and carrots. There is actually a wide variety of mob drops that are compostable. Doing this will clear out a lot of room. :)

The way to get stuff out of a casting basin is simple: If you reverse the pipe and power it, it should be able to flow back into the smeltry. It for sure worked in the Crackpack version of the mod.

If you watch from about minute 56 and on, he shows what you can do with it. I think you should implement some of those options, but MOST importantly, the auto inventory fix. this includes automatically refilling your camel pack, jet pack, ammo, and food. It would greatly help if you automate these things. Just keep up the fun and good work.

EthosLab There is a way to put stuff from a casting basin back into the smeltery, and it's very easy: take your wrench and hit both ends connecting the smeltery with the casting basin, thereby reversing the direction, then apply power. The liquid in the casting basin will flow back into the smeltery through the drain.

To auto-craft, shift right click on the question mark like you did, make sure you have all the needed items in your inventory. There is a problem with NEI that makes non-stackable items not be placed in the crafting grid, so beware of that. #loveetho

Etho, if you put a pneumatic servo in the pipe pulling items out of the chest for your composter, you can pull out stacks at a time to make the barrels fill up faster, I think it takes 10 flesh to fill the barrels up so you may just want to move 10 items at a time

Etho to get fluids out of casting basins and back into the smeltery you just have to reverse the direction of the fluid duct so it is piping out of the basin and into the smeltery drain.
