I found out that, it doesn't matter that it's a natural village, enough doors and villagers cause cats to spawn (if there's ground for them to spawn)

The waterlogged leaves isn’t new or a glitch. You’ve been able to Waterlog leaves for a while now (which I unfortunately found out from an attempted water bucket clutch)

It's been in Bedrock for a while, but it was announced for Java a few snapshots ago

1:35 the cats are spawning because there is a village. This will spawn in any available block that counts as being in a village meaningthat they can spawn in ravines, caves or manmade openings just beneath the village. There is a range though, so you can't have cats spawn in the deepslate layer beneath a village. The only fix is to either fill in or make the hole deeper so there are no available blocks there to spawn on.

1:35 The cat's a re spawning because the game regesters the area as part of a village. To fix it you could slab the areas you don't want the cats to spawn, or, pretty sure if you get a bunch or them and lock them in a hole or wall, I don't think any more will spawn.

Waterlogged leaves are a genuine bedrock edition only feature. If this is in a Java snapshot, then that might be a Java+Bedrock parity update.

If anyone is curious about how the trident was gone for 5 months, and take this with a grain of salt because I'm entirely just guessing, but I think that the trident was thrown into an unloaded chunk, and only after 5 months did he or someone else load that chunk again, causing it to return to him.

for the cats spawning under his village, the game is coded so it spawns cats where a village is, it finds that village by checking how many doors and villagers there is in an area. if theres enough doors and villagers, itll spawn cats. so his village probably has enough doors and villagers for the game to consider it a village.
