Mountains like that are usually long extinct volcanoes... and the bit that is sticking up used to be the "neck" where lava would flow up. So it is often made of basalt and harder rock than the surrounding land. Which is why it remains longer while the land around it is eroded away. A few things I want Bdubs to add. Add fairly tall trees on the bottom of the mountain but as you go up the mountain makes the trees smaller and by the top make them only 3 or so blocks tall to create forced perspective. Additionally, steep mountains like the one you built are usually formed by erosion so you could add evidence of erosion like rocks accumulated at the bottom, rockslides and loose rock fragments. Lastly, create a massive flock of birds using trapdoors for the wings and like solid blocks or slabs for the main body.

Hey Bdubs, there's this hill in North Yorkshire, England, which I think you'd really like. It's called Roseberry Topping and it has this very distinctive shape, almost like a wave. It's a bit unusual compared to your average soft round hill and it's in the middle of this beautiful lush countryside, covered in grass and fields and flowers, there's even some woods and a moor nearby. Its shape is caused by geological fault and a mining collapse, and the mine and nearby quarry are still abandoned there, giving it some history and flavour. There's some beautiful photos of it online and I think it'd be right up your alley and maybe a good source of inspiration for your landscapes.

Love the mountain/s. Can’t wait to see Joel’s reaction. I hope Etho sees the horses too and adds it to his video.

Something that you have to keep in mind, is that other Hermit's bases are at different locations around yours, so by doing even just a simple back of something helps a lot from people flying in from different areas

I love that the mountain’s cubic shape almost makes it feel like an anomaly. As if it was a mystery of whether it is natural or something else.
