Hey guys! I had to make a new channel so come on over to see my new stuff! kzbin.info/door/RihJxfMfbNKtLMkQxVDFBQ

@grovergep I completely agree, I mentioned that in the video as well. Which is why I recommend either of the lava ones, or piston doors.
@Tyken13212 жыл бұрын
@zveena There are flat worlds built into the game but I designed these myself before they came out and generally work better, depending on what you're looking for. I also have various "Type" maps like this checkered one which frames each chunk. I'll put a link in the description.
@Tyken13212 жыл бұрын
@booboo481 I know someone made someone like that before but the pistons at the bottom have to be sticky to pull them down, which is much more complicated.
@PlayrCz10 жыл бұрын
Hey, great tutorial right there mate! I especially like all the alternatives (not just one model), so you could choose the right one for the job. Thanks, really appreciated!

That last one is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for posting this!

@TheGamingBuds67 Sure, I may do a video on a few simple but useful circuits.
@duspeculiar12 жыл бұрын
Pretty much knew all of these already. However the T-flipflop you did there is something new for me! I knew a way to make buttons like a lever,but this T-flip-flop is a little more handy.
@skynet2x11 жыл бұрын
Good explanation of some of the uses for T flip-flops, definitely appreciate that. Gonna save me a whole lot of space and headaches building pulse lengtheners to make my buttons useful.

For those who want to use the last piston door, you can replace the fence gates with sand or gravel. When the pistons push up, everything will be lifted like it should be, but the sand/gravel will fall back down again when the pistons drop to hide again. Tyken, perhaps you should make it that an annotation? It seems people still use your videos for ideas, so it could help some people. Great ideas though, dude. Thanks for them :3

@BlueGnomeOverlord yeah I tried building a double piston door but I think its glitched, couldn't get it to work right.
@Invincible96012 жыл бұрын
You need repeaters next to or under the bottom set of pistons. Basically, when looking at the 4 pistons arranged in the 2x2 fashion from behind, you have repeaters only activating the top pistons. You need repeaters also activating the bottom pistons. You can either put the repeaters directly under the pistons, put a block under the pistons and put a repeater behind the block, activating the block, put them next to it, or put a block next to them, then have the repeater next to that block.
@Tyken13212 жыл бұрын
@misterblasty101 not solid walls, only lava or anything you can click through.
@dragonmcmx11 жыл бұрын
can be anything, i'd say a second hole with a ladder leading back up, and a sticky piston that only activates from inside with a button so you can get out (maybe put some repeaters to delay the time until the piston automaticly pushes back to give you some time to get out). So you can only climb and exit the ladder way from inside, when u are outside and wanna get in, just jump into the lava again ;)

Tyken, I don't know how you do it, but I really appreciate the time you took to demonstrate these Redstone inventions that I could be learning for myself, but on my own. I'm not Redstone savvy so for me to see someone like yourself pull this off is impressive and insightful. Thank you for your tutorials and your other videos as well!

That flip flop thing is amazing. Ive been using the old method which takes up too much space! Thanks Tyken! I would still be in the stone age without you! :D
@SasukeUchiha75812 жыл бұрын
thanks for showing this cause what i did was looked at how the second bookshelf hidden room thing was made and instead of books i used stone to hide my sacred dragon egg shrine. i outlined the whole thing with obsidian and the 2nd layer is lava for anyone with a diamond pickaxe, and the 3rd layer is another layer of obsidan

@LutraMustil11 жыл бұрын
I would love to see a tutorial to make the single-wide hidden door with the locking buttons that you show how to make at the end so that you have a locking system from one side. If you could make something like that, it would be fantastic!

I have a few of my own designs I've implemented on a server that are pretty cool :D But this brakes down some of the basics very well. Good job :3
@TheExplodingPumpkin12 жыл бұрын
Thank you Tyken, that was very useful! Could you make one for hardcore SMP, like so it blends in with its surroundings?
@airigone125710 жыл бұрын
The one with the bookshelves that locks.. If someone activates the lever on the outside while they're "locked out". Does it effectively lock you in? Making a house with the first piston design and having the same trouble
@dragonmcmx11 жыл бұрын
An awesome hidden room can be made by putting lava above signs, so that it won't flow down, then water under teh signs and again signs under the water. So you jump into the lava and it won't damage you a lot because you fall through it and into the water, and under the water is the hidden room.

Hopefully once i make my own server i will be able to make videos and show them to u. I am a big fan ( ur the 1st person i have subscribed to :D.) How do u do the camera thing so that the camera is like IN minecraft. I want that. Anyway big fan and i think i should be able to make my own secret passage based on ur ideas. Thanks!
@anialator100000011 жыл бұрын
Xor gates do the same thing as the design you showed off in the last half of the video, but they work for only 2 levers and don't have the lock innately built in, but it can be done by using pistons to block the dust so it doesent have a full circuit on a level change.

this is more a trigger for a secret door but if you put a wooden pressure plate then wire it to your door, shooting anywhere in the top 1/3 of the block with a bow will activate the plate IF there are particles updating it. you can use smoke, bubbles, whatever. i was thinking it would make a good door that could only be opened while it rained

@mrfuzzer112 жыл бұрын
Tyken do you have some kind of mod to make redstone go longer and make the delays go longer? When tried the one with 6 pistons i had to have 4 delay ticks meaning 2 redstone repeters on each piston and a repeater on the to the once that pull the bookshelf back because the redstone didnt carry enough charge.

@dwyer2326110 жыл бұрын
For the 3rd piston door I found its much easier with a T-Switch and buttons so u can use it from both sides and recommended if you want a lever so it locks it. kool video thew.

Hey, I'm a noob, but this is an awesome tutorial! A couple of ideas popped into my head. I want to build an elevator, so therefore i need to have a couple of different things, I need a door that opens like an elevator (1x2 opens to the left, and a 1x2 to the right) and then i need some how to have a 4x4 platform that goes down below the 1st floor, buttons inside to close the elevator doors, move the elevator, and then open the second set of doors. I hope you can help me out, Awesome Work!

Yeah, I'm super new to Minecraft. The one door at 5:30, when I tried it the repeaters didn't delay the other pistons. I was wondering why. Is because I have a newer or older version?
@professorsugoi12 жыл бұрын
do you need the pistons below the torches for the t flip-flop?

@Virus-Soup12 жыл бұрын
Hey Tyken, do you think you could make a full redstone tutorial?
@kakashi090911 жыл бұрын
the t flip flop system seems to work at its best when used with a flush door... reason for this is that really, a button is the best controller for a flush door not a lever... lever is best for gates... so using the t flip flop makes it all possible... and with a wireless mod it makes life easier with redstone contraptions

@tyken redstone can go through dirt but not through farmland so you can make a secret door with a hoe. and you can reset it through a dirt block come above it with a piston.
