LOVE Simple Storage. I know, it isn't as powerful as RS or AE, but it's easy, can serve it's purpose, and the wireless crafting remote having no range limit...it's sooo good.

I've run into glitches where certain items like gems from apotheosis combine into one gem even if they were all different so now I lost all the different kinds of gems I had but other then that great

Two flowing water blocks on top of each other make the bottom of the two flow downward, that's why the water wheels acted up like that. You can alternate which side you have water on for each wheel in the stack and it won't be an issue, as opposed to having all the water sources on top of each other. Also, they only have to touch a single block of flowing water to spin, no need to drape water all the way down the wheel. You can also wash an infinite amount of materials at the same time if you DONT use a depot or belts, but only one stack at a time if you do. Plus, the Mekanism tank can be used as a bucket if I recall, just have to set the hotkey. Pretty sure it can auto extract/input if you mess with it as well. There's also no better stress generation until you get to the Steam Engine, which takes a fair amount of copper. At that point, you either need a single campfire to replace 4 Large water wheels, or one Blaze Burner (nether required) to replace 32 large water wheels. I'm also pretty sure that one could go to the nether at any point now that lava is freely available, for all the resources it holds, instead of waiting for the quest book to tell you to or holding out until the last possible moment. Just need a flint and steel and to make obsidian the old-fashioned way.

Ohh I like the shift scroll! I always end up disabling lots of random hotkeys because of the conflicts, so any hotkey that can be avoided is perfect.

One of the things that helps with the create gear ratios is that if you use a casing on a gear, it will disable the shaft throughtput. basically, it would allow you to do gear ratios without having to snake the gears around to keep them from connecting to the previous set. Edit: Whoops! Should have watched farther into the vid, lol

3:10 instead of picking up the cog, you could just right click it to rotate it in place. that way it's not connected to the shaft and using power, but it's also not taking up an inventory slot or getting lost in your inventory or allowing the possibility to forget where something was if you take too long to re-place it.

Each one of the series has unique content so while the general method of working through a mod is similar, the details are usually very different. For instance, the use of Dank Null Storage instead of diving right into a Drawer Wall system. Or how for the first time in a series GoC has actually paid attention to his personal inventory mess problem by actively using the backpack. The lack of armor, enchants or even food is pretty much par the course, though.

You can use waterlogged leaves to contain waterblock in one place and place several washing fans around depot. It will increase washing speed additively (double with two fans or triple with three and so on). Also, compacting drawers and bulk washing are better than smelting - you can get byproducts and still have decent processing speed.

Just wait until you discover the power of the clutch from Create: turn on your devices as you need them and only when you need them. Love your use of the dank null for grinding! It has it's own overflow protection with the Void Excess setting. No need to do Yet Another Drawer System. You could use that dank system to handle sifting sand and dust at the same time, plus have access to sand and dust in the Simple Storage Network by linking the buffer drawers. Or even setup multiple sifter setups for the same items. One of those could be eating the output of a wall of botany pots into one storage for one filtered link cable. Truly dank storage.

The clutch feels very good as well. No need to have constant movement everywhere if it's not a production line. Just some machines behind a clutch, you flick the lever and throw in your stuff. Really makes it feel like you're running a metalworking shop or something.

7:45... you can craft another crucible and another cobble generator and just automate the lava into a tank trough pipez permanently , thats usually what i do since you can eventually convert the lava into power and other things
