I get what you are saying, youtube put the first video of the skybees 2 modpack into my homepage, and since then i'm watching a ton of the series already finished on the channel. Searching for a good modpack is really hard as a beginner, but i really got into moded minecraft thanks to GoC ! Him explaining all of his actions is really helpfull to understand and discovers things And as you said, my list of modpacks to complete also keep growing, to a point where i would need to quit my job to start and finish them all haha

LOL I think Ben directly pays attention to the various KZbinrs that skip stuff (with or without the community nudging him it was going on) and decided to mess with them so there's more work done. Big note on capstones, while miners can use any tier support frame higher than their required level in a mixture, the same is NOT true for the capstones used to make the miners faster, a mixture of capstones will count as having no capstones at all, if you're building miners next to one another, all of them need the same capstones.

with your first few trees, don't just mine the wood and let the leaves decay. that lets the drops go off in random directions. even if the sapling spawn rate were the same as normal decay, you should mine the leaves first, with veinmine. that way all the drops will appear within the blockspace where you performed the veinmine.

You can use Waterlogged blocks to make Infinite Water Sources (and for irrigation), Isaac.

Whenever i can twerk for trees, i place a plank 3 blocks high in the middle of my sapling circle. That way i always get big trees. Dont even need the botania spark!

U should have started on a normal world. If you find a village, villagers will spawn and you can trade them for emeralds, which is used for tier 8 support frames.

I've completed the first quest line but the colored stone is still just dropping the block itself when I use the Prospectors Pickaxe. I've even manually entered the command to try and force the stage to the next step but despite it saying it unlocks it I'm still just locked out of progressing any further than this.

the only thing i would do differently is change the middle block for that miner so that way you dont have to think about placing the new frames. just change it to like a stone or something so its no think click.

I forget who came up with the design but if you make a fountain ⛲ out of dirt with one water source on top you can put one lava source in the middle and it will make four cobble at a time. You have to protect the lava from the water but less of the cobble will burn up because it is next to the lava instead of below the lava. It's also nice that there is nothing behind the cobblestone so you can hold down the ~ and left click and stop paying attention until your pick breaks.

or you can make it one block higher and get 8 cobble per operation...and with wooden hoppers under the cobble you never lose any either. due to flow mechanics it does not work with more than 2 high unless you have something in the pack that lets you lavalog a block. also, simple block setup on top for the water, top layer make an X center block is water, corners are anything non-burnable then a + shaped set of non-burnable blocks. then the lava goes below the center block of the +. you'll probably want something at the bottom to prevent the water from going everywhere. personally I drop the floor around it in a two block + shape by one, except for the center block under the lava so it still spreads properly.

Just as a reminder with the jumbo furnace is that it smelts all 9 of the slots at once so a faster way to smelt some items would be to distribute it between the slots. Edit: I am incorrect about this as proven in episode 2, my bad.

Yeah, the cobble generator was over complicated. You could have placed another cobble adjacent to both rows and mine that instead - utlimine will drop all the mined blocks where you look. And also, waterlogged stairs count as a source, watching you move the water one by one instead of letting it muliply was a bit painful.
