Great vid. Btw, for anyone that wants to maximize the rates, I would encase the bees in a way do that there is only one flower per hive, and add a space every 8th module to help prevent bees from path finding more than they need to/fighting each other for a flower

Awesome design Ken, sorry about my not so nice last comment. But I figured something out with ur design, on the bottle side, when ur putting the redstone dust along the top of the solid blocks above the sticky piston. Instead of putting 3 solid blocks on the sides of the pistons when u reach the 15 length limit and then putting a piece of redstone dust and then a repeater and then another piece of redstone dust on those 3 blocks like u do in this video, simply put down ur repeater at the end of the 15 block limit and then put 2 solid blocks on the sides of the sticky pistons, one beside the repeater above the pistons and the other one Infront of the repeater on top of the pistons, and then just put 2 pieces of redstone dust on those 2 blocks. It'll power the piston under the repeater and it saves u a solid block and a repeater. Of course this will shorten ur next 15 limit but I'd rather it save me on repeaters. Less materials needed overall, makes the build slightly more efficient to build.

I can confirm this works on my 1.19 java server. Two things to look out for.... 1. When he demonstrates the signal is 15 blocks by placing a redstone torch..... You much remove this. He doesn't in the video. I also had issues with my honey bottle side. Turns out I accidently broke a redstone line when I was putting on decorative blocks. After I fixed the line, all was well. For those saying this doesn't work, check your build as it does work on Java 1.19 if done properly. Best of luck. Thanks for the great Tutorial K1, you've earned my sub :)

I'm done! I love it! I have to say that the bottles were making me crazy...lol I put an item sorter at the top of the item elevator to recirculate the empty bottles. Life is good now.

@@sgtbulletriot you can bring the bottle return up a little higher and have it sort the full bottles to the storeage chests and the full bottles go to the bottle chests. When the bottles come out of the elevator into a hopper going to the empty bottle chests, pull from the first hopper with your sorter hopper from below. Just like a normal item sorter.

Pretty sure on bedrock bees won't leave the hives if there's a flower directly in front. You need to have an empty space in front of the hives.

Wattles had instructions for a 12 count honeycomb farm. It produces about 4 stacks an hour but that is way more than I can use. Even with waxing much of my copper and use for candles. This one is a bit extreme and playing peaceful mode, I could never create all the sticky pistons. I like watching these though, to help me learn the redstone mechanics. Thank you much!

great video, farm works perfectly. probably should create a disclaimer about the safety feature you built has already locked the system, thus confusing those new to Redstone when you add the manuel deactivator with the switch. Personally, for those who are building the farm, the safety feature that K1 adds underneath involving the 3 comparators and 3 repeaters should be built last or once the chests are filled up! Great tutorial otherwise!

Haven't had time to try this out yet. At 6:00 you said to put upside down stairs on top of the chests, I assume to allow the top row of chests to open. However, you put the stairs on right side up. ;D

I can confirm that mine worked in Java 1.19. Make sure to remove the redstone torch on the first row of redstone on the blue blocks. In the video he placed it to activate the left site of the system to show it was exactly 15 blocks long.

Well this plan with the collection rails this way will only work if your building this east to west. As you can not put rails next to each other like that going north and south. Would have been nice to know before building this and finding out the hard way. Thanks.

you could put rails in the North and south direction just make sure the rail next to it is a block ahead so it does not connect and once you got the length you want you could then evenly break the rails

(face palm!!!) O.M.G. I'm sooo frustrated!! ): I got to adding the hoppers @9:15 then realized a BIG-TIME spacing issue. I was looking at 7 hoppers in each direction, not 8. Noticed I had 2 middle rows, you had 4. The way I've been taught, & used for EVERY other tutorial I've completed in 2 years - when I hear & see 20 x 20, that's for the ENTIRE footprint working space I'll be needing to have cleared out & ready to build in. I saw the colored border rows & assumed as always those were the outer parameter of the build, so that there would be 18 rows between those for a total of 20 in each direction. This is a LOT of work to undo and redo. Thankfully I caught it when I did, don't think I could have gone much further before unable to proceed. DangNabIt. Guess I've never seen a plan laid out with borders that aren't part of the entire build. Lesson learned!! (REALLY hoping this will all work out in the end because it looks to be a magnificent build! (: )

Additional tip, build it in the nether or end and as long as it is loaded it will run no matter the time of day.

Um, I'm sorry to ask, but I followed and built the farm exactly 1:1, but I have a slight problem. I'm not getting any honeycombs. The hopper with the dirt collects them, but they aren't being sent to chests above ground. Is this normal for this build? I built the farm in my Java world. Edit: Never mind: I noticed the honeyhombs in my first above-ground chest.

How did u get power to the repeaters and comparators underneath the bottle and shear chests I watched it in detail and noticed u didn’t have power and all of a sudden there was power I was just wondering cause mine won’t operate properly with out knowing

If anybody is having trouble with their honey comb side in 1.20 as I was. The pistons were resetting but target blocks and observers just weren’t activating dispenser. So what I did was looked up geckos auto bee farm video and copied that design all the way down on the backside of the honeycomb side. Ended up working perfectly now. Doesn’t have a locking feature with the pistons anymore but it at least runs and could be added if you really wanted to

Hi, K1 -- Xbox user here (Bedrock.) Around the 12:55 mark, you start to use powered rails. I've run into an issue with being unable to keep the rails straight. I think it's a directional issue with the rails. I'm going from the north to the south. I would prefer to not start over. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

with mega production droppers start backing up w/ items...after clearing up backup of items...how do you get droppers to start transport again after bee drops have filled up droppers

I found some problems causes the farm didn't work and I got some solution for u :) (in my experience at Java1.19) 1. the site for honeycomb is not working 2.the honeycomb/honey bottle remains in the dispensers There are some solution for above problems 1.Using the system of the site for honey bottle instead (15:24) 2.Fill up all empty bottles or shears in all 9 columns of the dispensers I hope this fix can help u :) At least that 3 hours is worth it

I don't know why, but my honey bottle side doesn't function. The nests fill up with honey and then they never get emptied. One time, in the first nest, the honey was emptied ONLY when I put my first bottle into the empty bottle chests though. I think this is not the way this works. Any pointers? Edit: Btw The original bottle I put directly in the dispensers.

Try checking the redstone line under the chests and make sure it's working. Also, make sure you removed the torch around 11 minutes. It's the one he demos that the signal is 15 blocks. He leaves the torch there in the video.

Don't forget to unlock the sticky piston at the bottom of the system. This fixed the issue for me. If you followed the video, it was done at 11:10 by placing an extra redstone torch.

Hey, K1 or anyone who knows, I got a problem after a long grind for the materials on my survival server. My honey bottle side is working well, but on my honeycomb side it doesn't work automaticly. The dispensers doesn't use the sheers. When I place a redstone torch by the redstone behind the dispensers/observers they all fire. Why doesn't this work automaticly for me? Thanks in advance.

After some testing I found a solve for this. So if anyone have this problem aswell, break the redstone torch that controlls the sticky pistons and then reattach it to the same position.

Have you tried resetting it? On the dispenser side, on top where the redstone runs across the top, break the redstone line and place a torch to make all of the dispensers fire.

this is likely a month late and probably won't mean much because you've likely moved on, but the reason this is occurring is the safety feature that he added around 22 minutes, which locks the system already. The lever is to force stop the system while you load it up. IDK why he didn't mention the fact that the safety system has already locked the system for you, but the lever is totally optional with this safety system activated and only requires you to build the line he showed with the repeater. Causes unnecessary confusion but yeah, you've likely built it right.

Unfortunately it isn't working at all, don't know why, guess I'll have to rewatch the vid to make sure I did everything right, but the bees are just not making those hives drip with honey, not one has honey oozing out. Also all the bees hang out at the far end, I don't know why lol but they are all there at the end packed tight.

On bedrock I noticed bees won’t produce anything if they have a flower on the block directly infront of the hive it has to be spaced one away

@@FuxkurSZN also another major issue is the hopper line. Where the minecarts drop off honey bottles and comb there's only 1 hopper per cart. You need to extend it because if you don't then you'll only get 4 honey bottles per cycle. Basically just add 3 rows of hoppers behind it, you can time it between minecart cycles so you can do it while everything is running if your build is long enough. Even then the minecarts are like always full but at least it's faster

I'm on bedrock realms and when i add the Redstone connecting to the sticky piston it always connects to both and they both extend out. I don't know how to fix this as I've already re-built the whole design twice. It would be great if I could get some help! Thank you random person who sees this.
