Cool that it plays like running through a DnD adventure, but I thought this DLC was going to be more off the rails like regular minecraft with DnD themes. I could be wrong but it just seems like it's going to be a short little adventure and if you want to continue playing it you'll just have to roll a new character and play the story all over again.

I’ve been into dungeons and dragons for what feels like a fairly long time in the last 5 to 6 years, I have grown so much as a player with so many different characters and a handful of backstories. I remember seeing a thing for a Minecraft D&D collaboration, but I only just remembered it a few days ago as I was going through the character creation to see Dragonborn horns, amongst other things (best race don’t @ me). I cannot wait until I start my journey in this Minecraft world, I’m sad the fighter isn’t there, but I guess paladins can do

I'd certainly like to see more! Personally I'd respec points or briefly restart and get back to current quest before getting too far, learning that Cha is what determines ones DMG output and Dex determines rate of spell casting are game changers, but worth the respec of the points placed into STR.

Dex only determines speed of the base attack, and Cha determines the crit-rate and crit damage

@@RPGgrenade thanks. I've been playing it since last night and I found 3 chests in the first town. But I found a bug in the map and now I'm completely stuck. One of the scarecrows on the clocktower quest has glitched and is unkillable. Completely halting my progress.

the dungeon master voice sounds weirdly off. like a dude spoke the lines but then modulated the pitch so its meant to sound like an old lady. but something about it still doesnt sound quite right. also, either the descriptions for the base stats are horribly wrong, or its not using the DnD stat system. because dex doesnt make you attack faster in DnD, strength only increases your hit chance and damage for melee weapons, and there are no real spell cooldowns. you have a limited number of spells you can cast per long rest (with the exception of cantrips).

In the defense of the people who made the mod, translating *actual* DND into a game like Minecraft (which is targeted towards children) would be a snooze-fest and a logistical nightmare. This isn’t supposed to be a perfect representation of DND, for something like that you’re looking for what’s known as an ARPG (think things like Fallout 1/2, Baldur’s Gate, even Dragon Age Origins). For kids, those games are obnoxiously complex, exceedingly boring and usually they have subject matter that is too mature for the average Minecraft kid. This is to kinda introduce the concept of DND. Like a “Hey, if you think this is cool, you should definitely check out the real thing because it’s so much cooler!”

Wizards dont use STR for damage its WIS and CON

They use Int, Dex, and Con. It's been that way for all editions. Wisdom is for Monks, Clerics and Druids, and Charisma is for Bards, Paladins, Warlocks, and Sorcerer's.

i see alot of fire and ice dragon mod assets and code aronud here so D&D ip owners you better be giving credit to the miecraft mod of the fire and cie dragon mod aotuher or them mod auther is ginog to get mad. also D&D you ligaly also can't bacly make mony off of others own minecraft mod assests bescue its illgeal and agest minecraft tos as well. so D&D did you get permison for the code and assets for the fire and ice dragon mod aother first before just using it in your own mod. bescue if not herobrine and jeb are giong to show up with the x-box and mojane mod lawers.

Well there are better RPG mods for real minecraft (the java version), so i do not think i will pay 99:- skr (Swedish money), for this. It is cool that it is a DnD thing, but ill keep watching to see how it turns out. I suspect that there is not a lot to do in this game, given the voice acting of it. Perhaps this tutorial and then one "main" mission. But i will keep my eye on it if you keep playing it.
