I'm currently in the U.S navy so I can relate to this video a lot. I had a vive with full body tracking a few years ago. For the sake of mobility I got myself a Quest 2 and it's been working out well so far. Although I really do miss my full body trackers tho

As someone who just recently moved to Kentucky/Tennessee because of the Army, right after graduating AIT (our version of Technical School) I’ve used and honestly abused my Quest 2. The link cable has come in serious clutch for PC VrChat. Good luck in Georgia

On the topic of recording, I personally prefer the one by one aspect ratio because that means you get to see the full FOV of the game, and you basically get the same amount of information as the person in the headset. The recording resolution, framerate, and bit rate can be adjusted either through ADB commands or through side quest. And speaking of side quest, I highly recommend checking out some of the games and stuff that you can get there. If you're a fan of Doom 3 or have never played it before somebody by the name of Dr beef made a really awesome Quest port of Doom 3 that you can get off of side quest, the caveat being that you need to own a copy of the original Doom 3 but you can get that for cheap on steam, just drag and drop the files from the PC version into a specific directory on your quest after installing the VR port and you're good to go. And yeah, Doom 3 is old, for the game being old doesn't make it any less fun.

I have been trying to make VR videos for KZbin, but I have to go through so many hoops to try to get a video out. As soon as I make one, I feel burnt out immediately because of how inconvenient it is to record on Quest. I pray that “Meta” will be adding better recording features so I can just record and actually have fun.

Congrats on graduating. Im in the U.S army National guard in Georgia lol. It may not be active duty but i am currently deployed in Texas for border patrol for a year. Having a quest with full body is just way more portable and convenient for me.

I joined Marines last year, and picked up a quest a little over a month ago. Better and cheaper than the original Vive I used to have. Also more convenient, especially for military/barracks life. If I ever get out of the barracks maybe I'll pick up an Index (Or whatever the newest thing is). But until then, the quest 2 w/ my laptop does the trick.

People were actually able to make a driver for the PSVR that allowed it to work with SteamVR, that's why you can see "Sony Playstation VR" listed on the Steam Hardware Survey. Let's hope the PSVR 2's hardware and software is open enough for people to do that again.
