As someone with a severe peanut allergy, the thought of a chippy cooking their chips in peanut oil fucking terrifies me. Chips are the go-to safe food in a chippy or takeout. Unnecessary and totally dangerous if not properly signposted. Allergy awareness really needs boosted. This shit literally kills people

Nowadays in high schools we got chairs but in primary the year sizes go benches. I remember sitting on one of those sing ‘down in the dumps’ which described how I was feeling closely followed by one of my favourite songs ever surprisingly a total banger ‘the school rule song’ which was great. We also made our own version where we repeated the song three times and increased the speed each time before getting to the ‘Oi’ bit. Fond memories

In Tokyo (iirc, it was in Japan, just not 100% sure it was Tokyo) there are a series of apartments under a train bridge (a handful under each span). They did such a good job with the sound insulation that you can't even really hear the trains. So that house under the bridge might not be all that bad inside. And that arch is a pretty awesome thing to have in ones back yard.
