I was an AT pro and max user. Loved those machines. I switched to equinox because the multi frequency setting seemed to delete a bunch of falsing that pro and max or any other single frequency machine will give off. I had gotten used to the falsing and was shocked at the difference the mutli setting on equinox gave. I guess without being too long winded you should have Phil show us a signal he can hear in 4khz and not multi due to depth or whatever. I haven't seen that as the example yet. It seems to me if the signal can still be heard in multi frequency this setting is better to help eliminating falsing and such. You definitely miss signals if any falsing occurs. I did think the pinpointing tip to help determine size was interesting. Usually I swing high off the ground to help determine if it is big iron. I think his big coil is the main reason he is going a little deeper than you. I got a big coil for my pro and it made all the difference. I could pull silver at depths with my big coil my buddy couldn't hear with his stock coil. For sure going to get the big coil for equinox.

If you are using ground balance tracking there is no need for sensitivity .All sensitivity is is fine-tuning the ground balance .So you cannot find tune ground balance tracking. Because the ground balance tracking is changing due to the mineralisation in the ground. But the sensitivity setting stays the same. Tracking only used in very small areas where the mineralisation changes. . like on a beach when you hit black sand..

@bananarepublic48653 жыл бұрын
I do not ground balance as my ground is pretty forgiving , I run zero. I do see a problem with you're coil set up . I looks like you have the coil cord going under the shaft not over it . When you set the machine down to dig the shaft puts pressure on the cord connection to the coil and over time will damage it . If I am seeing that right ?

I've got two questions. Why not tone break for iron? Negative numbers come up as a low pitch and low volume - unless you want to dig iron? Also, use a 12 -14 setting to catch aluminum - for the same frequency and volume as iron. The other question is why use manual ground balance when you can use auto-tracking - the recommended Minelab method? I saw that you are setting iron on 1, but what are you putting FE 2 on? Here in South Florida, for the beaches, the FE settings vary depending on whether I want to induce more or less insanity with all the iron we have on the beach. If I want to increase my level of induced metal detecting insanity, I use iron set at 0 and FE2 at 2. Otherwise, they're both set at 6. I like your channel. Very funny. For me, there is no Häagen-Dazs moment, it's more like a carrot stick.

pass it forard=karma...there is a point where the vid no longer represents what it is meant to...you see that with the nails you are digging...the sound lets you know...short and sharp, all ways around....then is it from a depth that you would guess the silver is...I've been experimenting in the two parks in town...all the coins left are deeper than 8 inches...mostly 9-12inches deep, some deeper....the oldtime hunters pulled the easy shallower coins in the 80s...they have all stopped buy to see what they've missed...many tell me the park is hunted out and for the surface to 8 inch mark they are mostly right.....but deeper than that it is a whole new world or old world.
