the handbrake can get worn out over time where it doesnt bounce back to the center and kind of sticks

Hi, quick question. Does anyone know if this handbrake can be connected to ps5 using the usb cable? I have th8a connected to t300 and a tss handbrake being delivered.. now I'm thinking i should have also bought the sim hub to connect all devices. Will my ps5 recognise the tss handbrake if im plugging it directly into the ps5 or will i have to connect it to t300? Hope that makes sense

On console, it needs to be plugged into your T300.

Hi. Great video. I had a bit of an odd question for you. I am in a wheelchair so I’ve never been able to use driving games with steering wheels and pedals because obviously I can’t use the pedals. I drive a vehicle in real life where I have a cane very much like the shifter and when I push forward it applies break and when I pull back it applies gas… with a neutral point halfway that is neither. Just a dead zone. I was wondering if you could tell me if this shifter and handbrake can be configured in something like Gran Turismo 7 for the same purpose, gas and break so if you push the shifter forward it will be applying the break and as you’re pulling it back past the neutral Center point it would be applying gas. Are you able to confirm that for me possibly?

I don't have GT7, so I don't know the device mapping capability of the game. But my instinct is that it wouldn't be possible with this handbrake. My only thought on this subject is potentially one of Fanatec's PlayStation compatible wheelbases with one of their wheel rims with dual analogue paddles (eg. fanatec.com/eu-en/steering-wheels/podium-steering-wheel-r300), that might work. The analogue paddle inputs, one either side of the wheel, could be used as brake and gas. Again, I don't know if GT7 enables you to rebind the controls in such a manner, but I know this would be possible in PC driving games.

You can lock the handbrake up and then release like a real car handbrake or it's just to press up for drift?Also you can connect both the handbrake and shifter on thrustmaster t300rs?

It's a drift style handbrake. TheT300 wheelbase has a single socket input for shifters, so no, you can't on console. On PC it doesn't matter as you run as a USB device.

Can this be used on a console with a thrust master TX? I’ve seen some reviews saying PC only but some websites selling the sparco say it’s also for console. I don’t want to waste my money on something that won’t work

Yes, it is compatible with the TX. The first version of the TSS was not, but it's since been updated.

I am abit late to this one but would anyone know if the tss handbrake is compatible with the t248 wheel? I am asking for a friend as we can't find anything on the internet that says "yes compatible" 😅

if your friend is on pc it totally is compatible, but if your friend is on console he should check for the ports in the back of the wheel and see if there is one that works for the handbrake

@goshochernii No. Already have the Moza Seq shifter and loosened off the bolts. I'll live with it. Not spending 200 bucks just on the off-chance.

Possibilities to customise stiffness? I was thinking of using the red springs from the TLCM pedals. They should have provided some additional springs with the kit

That's not a bad idea. I've found some options, it's just deciding how stiff a spring would be right balance for both modes.

@@SimRacingCorner please try the red spring and let us know. I think it’ll be perfect. I use the apex V2R mod for my TLCM pedals (amazing btw) so I have no need for the springs. Could come if use here. The only reason I haven’t bought the handbrake is because the tension seems way too light.

That's correct, as it must be plugged into the wheelbase. And that's only possible if you have a Thrustmaster wheelbase.
