I used to be a super artsy bullet journaler, but at some point it got too overwhelming and I started putting way too much pressure on myself to outdo myself each month. It also stopped being practical for me because I needed more space to write whatever I needed and the designated daily spaces I set in advance stopped being enough. So now, I’m a minimalist. I think my bullet journal still looks very aesthetic though, and I do make an illustration on every monthly cover page, but even those are more minimal now. I thought I’d never become a minimalist bujo person because I started bullet journaling in 2018 because I got OBSESSED with the idea of being able to do art every month and then also have it be a practical tool. But now as a minimalist the focus of my journal has shifted from mostly a creative outlet than then had a practical use, while now it is pragmatism over aesthetics, doing more self analysis, and being more mindful and I love it even more. But this just goes to show how bullet journaling allows us to grow and adapt it to our current needs 🎉❤
