I remember well Mr Richard Longman in the original at Mallory. Me a huge Mini fan since early 1960s so I'm well impressed that they can still be so competitive. What a fabulous revolutionary design back in the day.

@@JohnRoberts-yh3ep Im not sure whats mixed up here, I know heel and toeing as braking with the toe/ball of right foot and using your heel to blip the throttle pedal as you change into a lower gear. Its rev matching whilst braking. I am confused as to what you thought it was instead of this?

@@Matt-we7si, I agree with you. Your description is exactly what I, and everyone else calls heel-and-toe. It seems to be Lance, the OP who is confused. I was curious to know what he thought H&T was if he'd never seen it used for downshifting before.
