Best video explanation of these ND and polarize r filters. Understanding how the camera and the filters work together can really make the visuals stand out from amateurs

Very interesting on what the filters can do and when to use them, the snow filter brought in more clarity 🙂
@CreateandKaptivate10 ай бұрын
Yeah, I almost always use filters. Even just an ND16 or 32 is nice to have because it really helps get better exposure in the daytime.

Thanks for the video. Try the snowmist filter at bluehour or at night to make a halation effect of any strong source of light. Gives a dreamy look. Also as for the LPF, also try shooting that at dusk or dawn because the pollution is usually present when there is some light available and at night- its hard to see the impact of the filter. Just a heads up if you are experimenting more and make the most out of the filters.

Hey, thanks for the tips👍I never really noticed much difference using those filters. So I certainly have to try what you suggested.

Try snow, mist, nd filter at night on a big neon light on a building to get that cinematic dream shot

That's a good suggestion👍Something I thought about trying, and now I will.

Great video. I'm new to the channel. The snow mist filter works against the sun or with a surface that reflects the sunlight into the shot or into the subject. I wonder how this filter works on night time as well 🤔

I usually use the LPR or Light Pollution Reduction filter at night, but I've never tried the snow mist filter, no harm in trying. Experimenting is what keeps this interesting.

have you do a post-processing on this footage? Is it a huge difference between video quality ? Can I just upload it on youtube without post processing and have the same quality as shown on this video?
@CreateandKaptivate5 ай бұрын
The video quality from the mini 4 pro is actually really good. I didn't do any post processing on this footage, in fact the footage I captured was in 4K but the uploaded video was only 1080p.

Hi Mark, thanks for doing this! Nice presentation on your video debut, and congrats on your early KZbin success! Like you, I also live in Canada (Calgary too in fact) and am soon going to be ordering this Mega 16Pack, but wondered if you'd mind sharing your experience of how you went about obtaining it first... I haven't ever ordered such items online before. Did you order from Freewell directly? If so, were you hit with any surprise additional costs, like being responsible for paying extra for customs fees, VAT, import duties, and/or warehouse processing fees? The current price on their website is USD 149.99. Did the purchase process go smoothly for you? Thanks

I actually ordered these ones straight from Freewell, because at that time you couldn't get them anywhere else. I had no issues with shipping or extra charges, but you could also check amazon, I've bought other Freewell ND filters from there and you could possibly get them faster.

@@CreateandKaptivate Thank-you for sharing that Mark. Amazon has the Mini 3 Pro ones available, but it seems not the 4 yet (which is what I need)..at lease according to the internet search I just did. B&H has them though, so I just placed an order from them..also ordered a ND2000 at the same time! Thanks again!

Nice! that ND2000 was a good choice, I just got one myself.

Where you have the snow mist filter at the 8 minute mark, you may have the labelling reversed as the water under Snow Mist is Glassy, and the water under No Filter is hazy. By the way, I am a drone pilot in Calgary and would love to go flying if you’re up to it.

You could be right, if I did, I hope I didn't mislead anyone. Also, I'd be up to it, I still try to get out when I can, but this time of year the weather limits that.

I ordered Freewell filters but returned because I found out that they were plastic and not glass! You have to read the details, folks.
@CreateandKaptivate4 ай бұрын
That's interesting to know, I've heard a lot of people say they were glass, but I could not find anything that says that. Thanks for sharing that.
