Very thorough job, looking great. I like the idea of the applicator with the plastic in to stop it absorbing into the sponge part.

Thanks dude. I have to say that the applicator is less of a gimmick than you'd think, it does make a difference to the amount of product used, which adds up.

Well done, the paint system on these are a doddle to do. Not a fan of wheel acid on dark alloys but a great use of the pre wash processes to minimise marring.

They are lovely to correct aren't they, it's a really well balanced paint. Not so soft that it instantly marrs when you look at it, not so hard that you need to two step to tell you've done anything. I'm curious about your concern when she acidic cleaner on black wheels; I assume that's down to block showing up any chemical staining more readily than silver, but it's always worth checking assumptions! I've never had that experience myself with acidic ones, but I'm properly cautious with them.

Lovely job on the Mini 👍, looking forward to the tyre cleaner test. You look to be a fan of the forced rotation , I must admit I'm very tempted by one myself, and yes black cars are a nightmare we've got two cry😢😢

The more I'm using it the more I like it. I am going to see if there's a vented backing plate option, but I don't think there is from what I can see. Not that it's caused me any issues at all in terms of heat build up.

Fantastic job and a great video too Adrian. I'm still trying to get to grips with machine polishing and your narrative helps a lot. It did help me by watching the comparison video you did previously. Also going back to normal video speed to see your technique and hand speed really does help gauge how fast to go aswell. I know practice is key to gaining experience but when it's only my car getting polished/corrected finding 2 or 3 days is hard sometimes. Thanks again for taking the time to do this type of video 👍👍

I am 💯 with you there, finding the time on my personal car is HARD, it's alright when you're being employed to do it, but when it's your time...eeeesh, not much of that to be had! Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed the video, these ones never do as well from a views perspective, but I enjoy making them for the exact reason you described - it's good to demonstrate what's involved.

Would like a video on the use of the Feynlab rinseless please. Use ONR as a clay lube but never for wiping down after polishing. Be nice to know the ins and outs for that and if the feynlab is a good clay lube. I have the DA8 and your making it very hard not to buy the forced rotation 😂

I can answer that one really easily for you (I do have a video on Feynlab as a Rinseless Wash too, it's more of a vlog). ONR has loads of uses, so that I and of itself makes it a really valuable product to have. Great Rinseless wash of course, brilliant glass cleaner, decent QD and clay lube, all in one product. However, the Feynlab is a much better cleaner, I'm going to demonstrate that this winter when the car is pretty minging and show them both as a pre-wash rinse - I think the Feynlab will win by a mile here. But the Feynlab is a really focused product in the sense that it's brilliant as a Rinseless wash, but not much else, apart from this polish removal application. It is crap as a glass cleaner and can't be used as a QD....but....but... it's the best Rinseless wash I've used. And there's a new version of it out now too.

Cheers dude! I'd say you probably could coat on top of it, however I've never tried it as I've not wanted to run the risk on a customer vehicle. I should try it on mine actually.

Yeah Santa's sleigh could also do with one of those forced rotation polishers. Genuinely enjoy using it, after the small learning curve. It's very forgiving, much more so than the rotary.

Marvellous job! I didn't catch the name of the tar & glue remover? P.S. In2detailing sell plastic barrier microfibre applicators - I used one to apply my ceramic lite coating and that also worked well.

It was the tar and glue product from Detail Bug Car Care.

Glad you enjoyed it Steve :D - I believe the Tar and Glue remover is called Bug Off, it's in the van at the moment so I shall check if needed, but it's Detail Bug, so if you'll be able to find it on their site. Really reasonable value too! And you're absolutely correct, there are now barrier applicators from In2Detailing - I've had these Rag Company ones for ages and kept forgetting to use them. Unlike many other people using TRC stuff at the moment, I bought these.

@@decker0373 I bought the 5 bottles at Waxstock and nothing has been a dud so far. Got a couple of other bits to use that I haven't tried yet.

It looks fantastic. A lot of skilled knowledge and experience went into that one. So with the car polished, if the owner were to have a ceramic coating applied when needed (for the next 20 odd years), might the car never need to be polished again?

I wish that was the case! Sadly it isn't though. Even with a ceramic coating the paint will get wash marks, swirls etc. It may take longer for them to appear as it helps keep the paint cleaner and it's easier for the pressure washer to remove more of the dirt on the paint, but it'll still need a polish before the next application. Partly because you'll want to clay the paint to remove any contamination, and that always marrs. I'm keen to try out the idea that DIY detail are peddling, that a perforated clay cloth using the fallout remover as lube won't marr....I'm skeptical.

I've seen that on Pans videos too. He said the DIY detail and rag companys synthetic clay towels can be used with certain fallout removers and ceramic sprays saving a step.
