That's a beefy setup there for fences. You could grow triffids in there!

@PraxisPrepper first I'm going to make sure the lettuce and tomatoes can't get out, if it works, then I'll grow the triffids.

looking awesome, as usual! in my minds eye I can totally see a few large cherry tomatoes growing up onto trellises with the lettuce at it's feet. Awesome!

@OldSchoolPrepper I'm here fighting with old seeds lol, I've had to do some viability test, not great results because I bought seeds at the end of the year, but I got some lettuce up already and a cherry tomato plant out of 20 seeds 😆, but all I need is about 2 more to germinate, so I believe I'll be ok.

Great job. For me I found myself wondering about these issues... Cardboard for weed control. It composts over time. Do not have boxes next to the house. Same for wood piles up here. They should be about 20 feet (4 metres) from the house. Why? Mice. The beds could be twice as wide if you get access to all four sides. Metal posts on all sides and a frame over the boxes. Use wood or metal to cover from rain or storm events. No need to harvest or squash the crops. Given the time and care on the rest of the boxes that might be a retro for you later on? The locked area is interesting. Indeed going over would happen if people go hungry. Grow from seeds Luis. Grow from seeds. Buying plants is cheating 🙂

@HuplesCat I'm growing from old seeds lol, but I got a couple of shoots already, they don't sell starts around here, I couldn't cheat if I wanted to.

@HuplesCat this area is a multi use area, it can become a extension of the chicken run, it could be used as a brooder, and I could add a portable sink for a egg washing station. I love multi use.

@@marygallagher3428 Thanks, when I was going to start, I wasn't happy with the original one door design, I already had the material to make the double doors, so I just went for the double doors, I was happy I put in the extra work.
