Hi Auri! I need to tell you something. I had pretty hard times in my life and I also had strong depression and anxiety. I found out your cleaning videos, I have watched a lot of them and I decided - if I'm able to clean my house and myself, its not that horrible situation! And now is my place nice and clean, I have bought new clothes and I'm trying to live like a happy human :) Thanks a lot for you!

Thank you so much. I wanted to share my experience with your channel in hopes it may make you feel good. I used to watch your videos when I was deep in depression. I would watch you clean these houses and would only fuel the negativity such as "I wish I was good enough to clean like that" or "at least mine isn't that dirty right now". I struggle with severe PTSD and it's made it quite hard for me to get rid of things. It's called resource guarding. I'm transitioning in life to being an adult and one day things just clicked for me and I finally realized "I don't want to live in this much mess anymore" I remembered watching your videos and thought I'd look for some tips to start. Instead I got your company combined with my new motivation and it's helped me get through this. It's taking me far longer than you of course but every time I feel like giving up I look over at the video and see you're still cleaning, so I do too. Thank you for cleaning up my life too even if you never came here in real life.

I have always admired the way other European countries reward recycling to encourage it. If only all the world thought the the same, so much could be done to renew plastics and cans.

From the space in the tiny apartment it looks like the shelves should go in the entrance area by the doors and the bed should be moved to the living area by the kitchen. I like what Aurikatatriina does, and I love her mission. When I watch her videos, and listen to her kind, nonjudgemental words (what a kind voice she has), I am always reminded that my Depression, Anxiety and PTSD do not make me "bad" or "broken" ... that's a healthy thing for me. Very few people know much about me, or if they do, understand the intention it takes to live, with the grace I need to give myself. Back when I didn't have a dishwasher I'd do my dishes by filling the sink with hot water w/dish soap and then give all my dirty crokery&cutlery a nice hot 'bath', so if the sink is dirty, the dishes are going to swim in the filth, which kinda gives me more work.

I live in an area abundant with limestone. It is amazing. I have used this for all types of shower/tub materials and glass shower walls. You’ll love it.
@Eventide2152 жыл бұрын
That sounds like you'd be using up a ton of soap and vinegar.. also why the blue dawn? You could easily get other products that stick to the area.. like scrubbing bubbles where it sticks to the area and works. Come back like 10 minutes later and just wipe no real need to scrub. The main issue you'd have with the soap and vinegar is letting it sit on a vertical surface won't really work out since it just runs off.

Yes- in Oregon, US when you purchase a bottles/cans you pay a deposit on top of the regular price about $0.10/ each and then you can return them yourself or participate in a drop off program and get that deposit money back! Pretty great! I have my bottle drop off connected to a savings account for my daughter 👍🏻

I live at Denmark and yes, the cans and bottles that have a "pant" mark can be returned to the shops (in a machine) so we can get the value back. They have 3 classes and it's the return of the extra we pay when buying the product. Recycling here is pretty good, even the rubbish itself it's used to generate energy, to use for example at the houses, for warming, etc.

I’m from the uk and we don’t have the option to recycle bottles and cans for money like Finland. I think it’s such a cleaver idea to offer this because it encourages people to recycle ! Especially young kids who could collect them in their home and recycle them to get money for snacks and sodas when out with friends!

For the microwave, I put some Lemon juice in a bowl of water and then run the microwave until the water boils. That loosens the food that has splattered on the inside. After that I'll typically boil the water again and repeat the wipe down, then take a microfiber cloth with some dish soap and give it a good cleaning, followed by a clear water rinse. It works well and doesn't take too long (and my wife is happy).

When I was a kid in the 1970's, all the soda bottles were made of glass, and we could return them to the store and get money for them, as long as they weren't broken. The glass bottles were sanitized and re-used by the beverage companies. Now (in the USA) everything is in plastic and in most cases you don't get any money for returning them. I actually have to pay extra for my city's recycling service, so I am paying to recycle. 🙄

I think it is awful that the citizens here are the ones blamed for pollution, when it is the companies mass producing all our products using plastics. I recycle all of my plastic bottles, cardboard, and aluminum cans. I do think you can get a certain amount of money per pound on aluminum cans, but you must drive to a special location to drop them off, otherwise recycling is picked up every 2 weeks and we pay for the trash and recycling removal ourselves. I think the manufactures should stop constantly producing plastics and quit blaming the citizens here for the pollution.

i live in germany and we do recycle.. most of our bottles have a deposit on it. so we pay up to 25 cent more when purchasing a bottle and we get it back when returning. Bot some glass bottles dont have a deposit. In this case every small village has huge containers only for Glas bottles. We even sort them by the color. green glas goes into the container for green glas, brown glas into the brown glas container and so on.. We also do sort out our trash. We have a trashbin for everything thats made out of plastic, eg. foil, yogurt cups. A trashbin only for paper/cardbox and a trashbin for all the other stuff. Some cities have a trashbin for everything organic, leftover food, grass clippings and more.. My city charges me a 130 euro per year for waste collection. yes, we do take recycling serious :)

I would love to see a CLOSE UP tutorial of using scraper tool to show us how to not scratch the surface?!?! It always scratches and ruins every surface I've tried it on 😭
@as19J012 жыл бұрын
In a previous video she says to scrap diagonally not perpendicular to the surface
@Eventide2152 жыл бұрын
Look at how she holds it. When using a scraper it's not about pushing as hard as you can. It's about keeping it diagonal to the surface and lightly rubbing it. It's similar to how you'd use your fingernail to scratch through something. As long as the scraper isn't harder than the surface you're using it on it won't scratch it.

I live in Colombia and we don't have that kind of stuff. But... in Medellín, the only city with a "subway" system in the country, you can take the bottles to a machine in some stations and recharge the subway card.
