Rudy I applaud you for taking on such a complex build! If you are at the off-road games this year let’s get the Holy Grail and King Cooper together for a ride!

I'm no expert, by a long ways, but Rudy's build is the most "from scratch" and "build everything" project I've seen yet! That kid has got a lot of skills and imagination!!!

Rudy no matter what anyone says you did an awesome job on Mini Copper and you’re the only knows how much work you and your team has put in to your project . Keep rocking on Rudy ….
@MrPhils19583 күн бұрын
I didn’t watch every build, and Rory having to pull out was disappointing, but there’s no doubt that RAD’s Mini was the one I most wanted to see out there. I can only imagine how they must’ve felt, after pulling multiple all nighters, to get taken out by what essentially was an oversight. Given that Rudy, Janelle and Zack represent about 1/10 of the resources Robbie threw at his build, they should be damned proud of King Cooper.

It was an incredible slog, great concept another week and I’m sure the breakage issues would have been sorted before they happened. lack of sleep and exhaustion is a cruel mistress. Excellent engineering to sort out the gearbox. Incredible ingenuity packaging all that into a mini. Hope he follows up when he gets it debugged. On X it would be great if you did a follow up as this was very worthwhile project and honestly most people wouldn’t mind waiting an extra bit. ❤

I have much respect to you for dreaming the concept, building with YOUR hands and making it happen. I know at least one from this challenge had a "team" of builders while the driver did not design or build their rig. Hats off to you. I am a dirtlifestyle fan but you have my respect.

Rudy is an extremely talented young man and he was trying to show the world what he's capable of doing. And to me and a lot of other people he more then achieved that. He just didn't allow for good time management, which we're all guilty of at some point. So I Say Bravo Rudy And Crew. 👏

Rudys build was awesome. Too bad he screwed up with the oil in diff. His talents are unbelievable and he makes it all work.
@davidheckart6392 күн бұрын
If you don’t have the proper gear oil for a differential it is better to put in ANY KIND of oil rather than leave it dry. More specifically, transmission fluid is a fantastic all purpose oil in a pinch - engine, transfer case, differential, power steering, etc - for low speed until you can get what you need.
@123yrmama3 күн бұрын
It's too bad he didn't put gear oil in his differential id like to see that in the contest. That being said use completely different people next year. 1 year and done.

This series would be good if it would keep up with the posts and updates and the actual Sema Show that is already over and past. These youtubers are on a schedule to release videos and if they spend all their time directed towards a build series they can't release before the actual channel that's sponsoring it, then that leaves them in a predicament. They can't make footage for their viewers and keep their own revenue coming in if they have to withhold their footage to wait for the originator to release the main footage. There were channels not even related to this competition that visited SEMA, and had already released the video and name of the winner, even b4 the competitors did. That's pretty much a buzz kill to the whole competition. Thats like when someone tell you how a good movie ends before you watched it. You just wanna punch em in the face..lol.....jk....But, you all got a team. it's your show. you all do what you think is best.

TWO MONTHS Too late! Fab Rats won already. Bleepin Jeep should have won. onX is crazy. Why they let this onX build challenge go like this? So stupid... In the end Rudy took on TO MUCH, and failed. Should have planned it better. Looks like a cool King Cooper.

A primate having relations with a football. The clean way to describe the onx build challenge 2024. And I wish it wasn't so. I like and use onx. I like the builders and their rigs. But the entire process...like wtf is going on? This gets released a week after we already know Rudy's story 🤦♂️ primate having relations with a football.

Some pretty cool builds but the constant rule changes sucked. Nate completely switching to a different rig was total bs. Competitors need more time to build as well. I'd like to see something similar to UA where they go for a week of activities and trails. The drag racing was stupid as it has nothing to do with offroading. Would also like to see more unknown people build rigs for the event.
@muddyWW3 күн бұрын
I agree but I think they should change it to either mud or a sand drag, at least make it so 4WD has something to do with the race

C- is being generous, I think it was an overall failure. People are going to defend their favorite channels to the bitter end but in reality they had since March which plenty of time to get things done, a lot of them just didn’t take this serious. Yea Rudy’s was nice for what it was but he still failed. The bread van was my favorite but this wasn’t meant to be a competition for a spot at SEMA. I think OnX equally failed. They changed the rules around too much, gave too much room for interpretation, and were all around to lax and the voting was a joke. It was an absolute dud in my book. What they should do next year is do all smaller channels like Bronco with the Wild card slot. If you, missed the competition, were late, changed vehicles or all out quit you shouldn’t be eligible for next years if there is one.

@RobK-q8fgКүн бұрын
@ Rules changed several times. Teams weren’t sure what direction to go in. Some built overlanders, some built rock crawlers, Some dropped out, some didn’t make it in time. Budgets went out the window ………………. When I said “fail” I was specially talking about RADs rig. He blew it on time management and made a huge rookie-like error in the end. It’s a shame because I really wanted to see how that thing would have done.
