My friend put a 250cc gy6 with reverse off a Chinese atv/buggy into his and it hauls ass. We were gonna go the same route as you with a geared gio 250cc but after riding a gy6 powered buggy the belt drive just seems to be a whole other animal for trails. Has so much low end torque and can still pull 45mph 85ish kph in the top end. Just wish it provided the same enjoyment as shifting gears. Took some custom work to mount it but it made a fun project. Great build keep em coming.

I would love to hear What yr saying or explaining in the video abt the engine! I just bought a mini jeep 125cc gas. I put the mini jeep on layaway. I should have mini jeep by summertime. I live in Canada right now it's winter and I should mini jeep May or June. I want to know more abt the zs190 engine where can I get this engine from? And do I need some more attachments or tools and how to install into the mini jeep? Could you please help me? The music in the video makes it really difficult to listen and follow instructions. Is it possible to make a video step by step instructions please? Please leave the music out if thats possible?

Im in Australia so the engine I got from ebay and I had to cut the frame and adding washers to the engine mount bolts for it to fit. I suggest joining one of the zs190 swap pages on Facebook and get some general knowledge of the engine first as there are some things that need attention prior to starting. Ooracing has all the parts for the zs190 but they are in the UK so may be a issue getting parts.

The parts with music just say to lube the starter chain and the rest of how it was done dosnt have music. Hope this helps.

This engine has no reverse. You could adapt a forward neutral reverse shift box if you wish.

It's pretty good at high speeds but I've only driven it on dirt roads and the back end kicks out when changing gear.

Im in the process of doing a comparison and top speed run next to a stock 150cc mini jeep. Then when im done I may go down thet path. Iv had a operation on my finger so haven't been able to drive it since this video.

idk why you keep using the clutch after your moving,could just let off gas and switch gears and it switch fine long as your moving....

They are hinged to the frame hard to explain but look up mini jeep pictures and you may see how it looks.

why not just do a 250 cc big bore kit? alot faster to swap out the head cylnder also you dont lose your reverse gear....... this is a question not an advise statement i too have a mini and am trying to figure out best upgrade route

Apparently the starter chain doesn't come lubed from factory. The other thing i did was the shift star mod which is just a few washers.

Thanks mate I'm working on a pedal clutch atm and will do a top speed run but it's running the stock mini jeep sprockets so maybe just quicker. We'll just gave to find out.

those starter chains fail because they receive 4 times the kickback as those chains were meant to go on a 50cc super cub not a 190. Also the gearbox is dog water on these 190s and 212s

That would be ideal. At the time this was the quickest way to get her going. I'm actually going to swap the 190cc into something else down the line and going vtwin in the mini jeep
