Wow i thought it was purposely made impossible to add an aftermarket radio or entertainment since the controls are built in to the speedo. Great interior...and good video ill try the reset procedure but i have a feeling it may be something else as the diagnostic tool came up with 2 codes

I have that same model stereo in my 2012 Countryman S! They isntalled an iDrive kit to rewire all that to the wheel so the controls would work with it and I also added a back up camera since my model didn't have one equipped.

Soooo, I have a problem with my mini Cooper kinda like this problem. Both of my windows rise and drop, but one of my windows doesn't rise enough. It doesn't rise as much as my other window. To make it so that the window doesn't have a gap at the top when the door is closed, we ended up rising the glass, but now you can see it protruding a little from the door

Mine doesn’t even go all the way up. the anti jam kicks in half way and it goes down. Cant even get it to close properly to do a calibration

Hi its something a Mini specialist or Mini dealership can do. You also have the option of putting a resistor in the occupancy sensor connection to fool it into thinking its still connected.

Hello, my r56 window will not stay closed even after holding the switch, it will overide the switch and go back to midway open. Regardless if i try to stop it from rolling back down it cant be stopped. No idea why

@@tweedbean thanks… my window switches had been previously ‘fixed’ but had been put back upside down. I found another KZbin video which advised turning round the magnetic housing of the window actuator to swap the poles and this worked so now my windows go the same way as the switch and your reset worked to reset them after this. Thanks

I can’t get my 2008 R56 to reset. When I “auto-up” the windows it hits the top and comes half way back down. If I hold the button up, it’ll drop down about 1/2 inch. Then I have to do another up again to get it to close. Also my windows don’t drop down when I open my doors.

There’s so many things it could be, broken motor, broken switch, wiring issue etc. it’s very difficult to diagnose without looking at it.
