Michel, you start every video with, “Hi, friends,” and I’d like to share my input from the perspective of a friend. Sometimes all a person needs is someone to keep them company. Personally, I don’t need to benefit or take something away from a video for me to want to watch it. Sometimes it’s the personality, authenticity, and overall vibe from a KZbinr that attracts me to the video. And it’s THOSE things that allow me to keep an open mind when you do bring something ‘of value,’ like a brand-specific video, Sponsorship, or whatever it may be. The way you show up every week being your true self is enough. There are so many different ways to bring value to a person. I know you’ve talked about this topic before and I so wish you could see how much value you bring by just showing up. ❤

I think sometimes it’s okay to just bring you to the video. You are company to so many of us and that’s more than enough. I don’t think everyone expects that a profound thought or valuable insight must be shared in every video. We just like hanging out with you. That is enough.

Michel, I watch your videos because of you and the way you share snippets of your life. I have come to understand that social media can be hard, cruel, and sometimes exhausting. I also have learned that there are some wonderful people too. I realize this is your livelihood, and you have to adapt to that. I enjoy just spending a few minutes with my friend in California. I enjoy seeing what she feels comfortable sharing, most importantly seeing you so happy. Enjoy this moment in time, take a break when you need it, those that care about you will understand. I do love when you go thrift shopping, and find things you love , ❤

I just want to say, when you post a video, it brings value to my life. Let me explain, there are days I am losing my mind, when I watch your videos, it calms me and brings me back to the here and now. For me that is valuable. There are always going to be people that want more from you, personally maybe it is time for them to move on. I admit, I have been watching you for long, the thought of you going away saddens me. I am 51 so I am not the normal age range that likely watches you. Basically you are still bringing value to some of us!! Love you friend. ❤❤

Hi Michel! I completely understand the achiever mindset and wanting to bring something of value to the table in every video. I'm the same with my work and I think we both probably derive a lot of our self-worth from our jobs. However, as many other people have said, people love your channel because of you. I feel privileged that you share so much with us, as I do when my friends in real life are vulnerable with me and trust me with something sensitive, but at the same time I worry about you a bit because the pressure to share personal things to add value might lead you to share something you're not actually comfortable with other people knowing (the "wound versus scar" metaphor you mentioned). You seem like a truly good human being who's naturally generous, but it's okay to not share everything with us! We're strangers on the internet, after all, even though I'm sure many of us feel like we know you, and we do genuinely care about your well being. In one of your latest vlogs you mentioned wanting to keep church time sacred for you, and I was actually quite proud of you for putting that boundary in place for yourself. I'm so glad you're taking that time, and Sundays in general, just for you. We're happy to just hang out with you doing whatever, so don't feel any pressure from us :).
@Lots2SmileAbout5 ай бұрын
I think it's important to keep front of mind that sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is show up and be real -- even if that doesn't "seem" valuable on a checklist. For instance, that scramble bowl you made -- never thought to put that together before but I added it to my list of meal rotations to try. My biggest battle in life right now is coming up with 3 meals a day for 3 people. So you just sharing that ADDS VALUE to my life. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to orchestrate something you feel is valuable. We get ideas from how other people do things -- and that is inherently valuable.
@mildreddiaz64359 ай бұрын
I appreciate everything you post about. You be surprise what you might think is low impact or not much could be what someone needed to see or hear that day. And I personally find them very relaxing and formative. Thank you for all your efforts and hard work for giving always the best! And for bringing so much joy and peace to people you don’t even know. God bless🙏🥰

I love these videos, and your content doesn’t always have to have meaning. I’m sure we all would love to see you just being carefree and enjoying the day. You have come so far since I first started watching you, about four years ago. I’m tickled that you found your true love, and look so forward to watching your life bloom even bigger and better. Advice from this soon to be 65 yr old,…laugh a lot especially at the uhoh and bumps along the way. Life is too short to be worried about might be, go with the flow and always try new things. Big hugs.

I have a feeling you enjoy making gift baskets for other people. You are so kind and thoughtful. Flower tip- When you put the water in. Put just enough to cover all stems. It might not seem like enough water. Trust me it is. It makes the flower last much, much longer. Change water by 3rd day.

If youtube, your agents, advertisers, or anyone puts too much pressure on you to always produce, you're going to burn out. You should always have the 1st say in how much you can do to do your job well. Don't be afraid to speak up. They need you to make money for them. You need to draw a line so you don't get tired of it. And don't worry about 3 videos a week. If it's less sometimes, so be it.

Hey Michel ♥️ I hope I’m not speaking out of turn by saying this. I think your value doesn’t come from the words you say in the vlogs, or the lessons that you may teach, although they may be very powerful during times of need for viewers. Your value lies in the memories that you are documenting. Your parents watch your vlogs, and it’s valuable to them just to see their daughter, thriving in her new life with her new partner. One day, you and Jordy’s children will look back on these videos and get to see how madly in love their parents were. Every time you press record and share your life, it is pricelessly valuable, and as a viewer, I feel honored that I get to see these memories as well. I just wanna make sure that you realize this… Your shoulders have lowered about 3 inches and your countenance is absolutely peaceful and content and happy. I’ve seen all of these beautiful changes since you moved to California. KUDOS to you baby for doing life, right ❤

I meant to leave this comment yesterday after watching this video, so I don't know if you'll even see this now, but I just wanted to express to you that even when you feel like you have nothing to give; nothing meaningful to impart, or any life lessons to teach... you are still giving us something that we enjoy. TBH, I could just watch a video of you organizing your closet, or putting away groceries... doing your hair. Totally mundane things, because to me, that little bit of time I spend watching your life, it's an escape for me. It's like for those of us who have favorite movies that we love to watch over and over again. They may not be teaching us the meaning of life, but they give us that much needed break from the constancy of life's demands and that in itself is a gift to our mental health. Whenever I'm having a bad day, or stressed out completely, there's nothing I want to do more than to curl up on the couch and binge watch Harry Potter movies. lol That is a total escape for me and I always feel better. Your videos, and other KZbinrs I watch, are like that too. An escape from whatever is going on in my life. So even when you feel like you're not contributing anything to enrich our lives, you really are. :).

I think that you are wise to be thinking about your content. When you have kids your life will revolve around them. I doubt that you will want to expose your kids to the internet. You'll probably want to pivot away from vlogs sooner than later to protect the family that you are creating. You mentioned that you are very much an "achiever" so maybe find new things that you can learn and dive into that. Then your channel could become about that thing, whatever it might be.

This!!! You’ve talked about so many things you like to do, maybe laying the foundation for that before starting a family will help your content have diversity! I’ve not watched since the beginning, so I do think you could repeat some things. You’re so brave to be as vulnerable as you are - if that’s something you want to protect more, you just need another content form! Love everything you do, but you loving it is most important! ❤

I’m really hoping that when she does have children she doesn’t exploit them. I’m afraid that won’t be the case though. Almost every vlogger that has kids ends up exploiting them.

The meaning of exploited: to use someone or something in a selfish or unfair way. Do you really think Michel would do that?? If she wants to share her family that would be her business!!!

It's a good point, though there are a lot of vloggers that are able to straddle the line really well. They talk about things they are doing for/with their kids or recommendations for places they went with their kids but they don't actually show their kids hardly at all. Jessica Braun comes to mind. She rarely shows her kids and if she does it's only a really brief glimpse. She talked about this recently and said that that is a conscious choice and I think it seems really wise. But I don't think you have to stay away from vlogs when you're a parent because you can still talk about going to the library or whatnot and show a clip of walking inside but not actually SHOW the kids much, if at all. Of course it's Michel's choice 💯😊. I'm just super excited for what comes next and I really enjoy the channel no matter what she does. 💜

@@marcyfalconer1275 I don’t know if Michel would do it. But showing your children online and monetizing off of it is exploitation. You are using children who CANNOT provide informed consent and make money. On top of that these family bloggers have pedos all over their channel. With AI someone can take a seemingly innocent video or photo of a child and turn it into korn.

You can bring value by sharing the gospel 🤗 maybe just sharing what you learn or read that day. It helps staying consistent personally and share it with us with love

I have struggled so much with making rice in a rice maker. It is either not done enough, too done and it always sticks to the pot. What rice cooker do you have and how did you make it. I watched and it looked like 2 cups of rice, little butter and 3 cups water??
