You know, another option that works rather well is to stack layers of the cheap foam core rather than the insulation foam. If you want to keep more of the texture worked into the foam itself, a good option to replace the sculpt a mold is to water down some filler or patching plaster down and brush it on.

For anyone not looking to make a huge mess, I managed to get a similar texture using a hot wire cutter. I used one of the rod shaped tools and pressed it into the foam at varying angles and got a layered rock look. It helped me avoid so much hazardous foam all over the place. Regardless, I couldn't make a project better looking than this! Well done for sure !

Hey Leif. Fellow swede here. Where do you order your XPS from? Been looking around like crazy. But its always crazy expensive.
@DevsDice3 жыл бұрын
Hey Viktor! Yeah it is somewhat expensive, or at least it requires a certain amount of dedication because I have only found large sheets. I usually buy mine from a place called Materialbutiken but honestly any "byggvaruhus" should have similar things.

Hey Leif, where do you get your music from? Is it on KZbin? 🥰
@DevsDice3 жыл бұрын
Hey Erika! I have a subscription on Epidemic Sound but generally the artist I like are: Adriel Fair and Niklas Johansson - Call of the North. Both have a presence on the great KZbin! Adriel Fair: kzbin.info/door/fQwHF2j26Gt0RXPdOZdPgQ Niklas Johansson - Call of the North: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKvWqJRvmsmrbMU Hope that helps! 😀👍

I have not built any terrain yet and yours is great but I do find fault with the "tufts" of grass along the river bank, they do not look natural at all! Sorry but that's how I see it. Thanks for posting and I will keep watching you and your skills!

something that i don´t understand with the static grass applicator: is it necessary to put the grounding pole into the glue or is it enough to just touch the surface ? excuse me noobishness, i am new to all of this.
@DevsDice3 жыл бұрын
I am going to be honest with you Chris. I am not 100% sure. AFAIK you need to have the grounding pole close to or touching where you want the static grass to hit. Honestly I haven't been using it for that long! I usually use a wire which I clamp in the alligator clip which grounds it. Hope that clears it up a bit? 👍🙂
