One of the better Kill Team battle reports I've seen, probably because it has an actual script and editing instead of a couple dudes standing around ad-libbing with a lot of "uuuuuuhs" interjected

You can leave your Condemnor in Conceal for safety. The stakethrower has Silent.

The grots grappling hook counts as a free normal move so he cant normal move again after using it

So you know, The Novitiate Superior has an ability that allows her to group activate if she gets a kill. Even if the kill was an error, you counted it and it should have been played.

Yeah I looked at that and decided not to activate it. She ended up shooting at the snipa anyway, but I didn't want to give away 2 activations and face a potential overwatch later.

that shoot that the exactor took could have have one free roll for being close to the preceptor and the Unflinching Determination skill maybe. Anyway, loving the Novitiates battlle report

It's just your normal sector mechanicus stuff. I think it's the previous version of KT. The one with Tau and Space Wolves. I had two boxes of that. Cheers!

Also the Penitent should have Zealot, "Or Zealot lite." She automatically re-rolls everything when she fights and you can't spend faith because you can't re-roll twice.

From a vantage point you treat a conceal as an engage. They still get cover, however.

Vantage only works with light terrain in the core rules it says "Each time an operative on a Vantage Point makes a shooting attack, each enemy operative that has a Conceal order that is in Cover provided by LIGHT terrain or another operative, and is at least 2inches lower than them, is treated as having an Engage order for that attack instead.

Trying to learn Novitiates, wanted to list some errors I see. Thank you for the battle report! 1) Condemnor has silent and doesn't have to be in engage. 2) I think you moved Condemnor down to get near the Hospitaller but didn't activate the Mantra of Restoration to heal her. 3) Missed AP1 multiple times (noted in video) 4) Illegal shot (noted in video) 5) Did not use group activation as a result of "Lead by Example" from Sister Superior, on trigger killing Dakka Boy 6) You used Hospitaller Mantra of Restoration to heal Purgatus but didn't remove an APL from each unit, meaning that it couldn't climb AND shoot the Grot. 7) Pentient is allowed to re-roll any attack dice for the first fight of each activation using Zealous Rage, you didn't need to use FP to re-roll 8) You didn't apply Penitent Reap 2 rule to the nearby Grot during the same attack...

I don't quite understand why Novitiates hit on 3+, aren't they supposed to be new recruits? Why are they as skilled as Space Marines? And more skilled than vet guard who are veterans not raw recruits.
