You are my favorite Modular KZbinr. You speak through your thinking process so clearly and it just clicks with me.

I just got the bitbox and was thinking of a nice combo and this video confirmed that beads and bitbox together are magic ✨

Hey man, I discovered your channel a few days ago and I'm really enjoying watching your stuff. I'm also a classically trained musician and I just bought my first module(Arbhar), so it's really cool to watch someone else more experienced doing this stuff. Keep it up!

That's awesome to hear! Arbhar is SUPER fun too, especially with acoustic sources! :)

I’d love to see a video on how you play your rig with the DTAP battery outside ☺️

As always, great video! Love your approach to the bitbox, gives me new ideas to rethink the way I use mine. Haven´t got too much into the bitbox yet but there is so much to gain. Thanks!

Thank you so much!!! Especially trying to find ways to have bitbox interact with other modules, the possibilities!!! Which is why I feel the need to keep my setups super simple, at least when I'm in "discovery" mode. I'm thinking of going to 62hp maybe lol104hp is just too much still!

I avoided adding a sampler to my rack for a long time, as I was being a purist idiot. Then I got a Bitbox Micro, and I loved it so much I now have two.

Nice, was thinking about morphagene but maybe beads and bitbox will suit me better.

i got the bitbox mk 1 what trigger mode do you have the samples in?
@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE Жыл бұрын
For me it depends on the sample. For drones I've got them usually set to TOGGLE. For one-shots like cellos, I've got them as set to GATE. You also have to fidget with the ADSR a bit too. All so easy to set and tweak. bitbox is so much fun! :)

Do you have your samples looped or recorded in any particular way? or are you using beads to do all the generation of stuff? Did you figure out any of that stuff with BitBox? Thanks again bud, learning a lot here so far.
@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE2 жыл бұрын
Hey ya!! I will put that on my list to do a little more in depth video based on peoples interest. A little hard to unfold everything on the comment section. But appreciate the support and the kind words! Samples are recorded in related “key” and somewhat in tempo. It’s like a sample sound collage. Then it’s all bitbox (you can do this on any mpc type machine too) beads just takes the sample and adds the extra layer of interest. But I’ll post something a bit more in depth on a later video!!

Great video as Im thinking of getting a bitbox. What really peaked my interest was the battery. Please do a proper video on that! I would love to know more. Are you plugging it directly into the pallet case in replace of the power brick? you can't drop that nugget without some deets. Thanks. Love your channel
@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by! Yes, but the type of battery also important! Will do!

@@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE Yes I was looking at the flexion d-tap battery. Seems to have a great size to watt hour ratio. I was also trying to see the viability of common powertool batteries like dewalt 20v. (since I have a ton of them already)

What prompted you to switch from Maths to a sequencer? I mean, it looked like you had a lot of modulation already, but tides became your only envelope?
@DUNGEONMUSICTHEATRE Жыл бұрын
It’s been awhile since the video :) but if I recall Maths was a bit too HP wide in the rack and I just wanted to try out Tides. And the skiff you see here has been long since disassembled into something new :) thanks for stopping by!
